1  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [deck] Crushing Chamber-Mono Brown aggro on: July 29, 2004, 03:35:55 pm
What do you think, can this deck be played on a budget without workshops and p9? (ignore null rod and play artifact lands)
2  Eternal Formats / Creative / [Deck]Aggro-control Artifact on: July 09, 2004, 12:15:13 pm
I play a Modular/Artifact Aggro Deck (without power or workshop but this should not be important for the question) using things like cranial plate/arcbound slith/juggernaut.
To gain tempo advantage I use 5 strip and 4 tangle wire but it seems this is not enough so I added black (a lot of free slots existed) for either sinkhole/dark ritual in combination with duress/yawg win/etc.
But what is more important, a possible timewalk by sinkhole or REAL tempo with the addition of dark rituals?
Here is my list:
4 Juggernaut
4 Arcbound Slith
4 Nim Shrieker (i like it because of : flying, imprinted cranial plate)
2 Synod Centurion
2 Gemini Engine (also amazing with modular counters on it-> double damage)

4 Cranial Plating

5 Strips
4 Tangle Wire
4 Sinkhole / OR 4 Rituals

1 Mana Crypt
1 Sol Ring
1 Mana Vault
1 Grim Monolith
1 Lotus Petal
4 Ancient Tomb
2 City of Traitors
16 Swamps

I do not want to go under 16 swamps because of sinkhole, this is a great addition to the deck because additional attack provided by landdestruction is VERY good here.
Sorry for my bad english I am from germany!
I hope you could understand everything!
3  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [Article] Tempo IS Interesting on: July 08, 2004, 03:41:46 pm
Everybody wants to know how Tempo is defined, i know the answer:

=)
Tempo is just an expression when your opponent cannot do more than before for one/a couple of turns.
A perfect example is Tangle Wire, often this is a 3 mana time walk when your opponent is forced to tap everything.
Its card disadvantage which leads to tempo.
sorry for my bad english
4  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / Charbelcher Instant Win Combo Card: overlooked? on: June 08, 2004, 01:41:26 pm
Look at this card: Mana Severance
It makes an instant win possible in combination with Goblin Charbelcher without playing 1-2 lands only in the deck and without the risk...
Is this 2-card-combo playable?
I think yes because its relatively cheap.
Sorry for my bad english Smile
5  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / Psychic Vortex ? on: May 14, 2004, 12:54:01 pm
But it is like Future Sight, some turns and you won...
Decks without Counters but Aggro/Disruption would get HUGE advantage if this cards is on board for at least 2-3 turns!
6  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / Psychic Vortex ? on: May 14, 2004, 12:23:28 pm
Look at this card: Psychic Vortex
http://www.magiccards.info/?id=7737
You can draw sooo much cards and in a few turns you can overwhelm your enemy...
Why is this card not played?
Disadvantages of this card can also easily be negated...
