1  Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / Re: [OGW] Hedron Alignment on: January 05, 2016, 02:32:58 pm
Seems like an interesting 1-of...  Wink

Joking aside though, If you have one of these exiled face down (via clone shell for example), do you still win if the other 3 criteria are achieved? In other words, can I reveal my hand and then show the face down exiled card? I would guess yes?

I'm in.

Same lands with extra drawing on them to look like the cards works.

Realistically it doesn't matter against me, since I'm running DikembeCounterSpell.dec and don't plan on anything resolving.

4  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: [PANDEMONIUM] Vintage 11/14/15 on: November 12, 2015, 11:12:23 am
I'll be there with the Myriad crew. Looking forward to this.

Just a comment on proxies, more of a request.  If you are using proxies, please don't use the same land/card to represent more than 1 specific card.  Example, don't use forests for 5 different proxies.

5  Eternal Formats / Blue-Based Control / Re: "The Unbroken" U/R Landstill: The Primer on: October 22, 2015, 01:11:07 pm
It has never really been about chalice, more about synergy with a resolved standstill.

When you run more lands, instead of moxen, you get to keep playing lands under it, and developing your board state in a situation where your opponent is refusing to break the standstill.

It is also of note that Emrakul requires you to shuffle it and your entire graveyard into your library vs. Blightsteel which only makes you shuffle himself into the library.

Not the end of the world, but if your dragonbreath is in the grave when Emrakul goes in, you lost your set up.

Definitely wasn't suggesting any foul play, just more of "am I crazy or am I missing something?" Thanks for the follow up.

Love that the footage is available, as I wasn't able to get out to participate. Sounds like a great event.

BUG fish with no confidants, love it.

At ~5:02 it looks like a Kuldotha Forgemaster, with 5 mana available, is played into a sphere of resistance (should cost 6?)

Ah, hey Isaac. Yes decking delver was one of the more interesting game wins I've had.

Kyle D said he is in, barring an unforeseen work emergency.

That makes 8 there, plus maybe Adrian, and Rich I assume since you were asking?

Able to go's look like:

Myself - Tony
waywreth - Matt
Misterfoote - I probably know you, but not sure of the TMD account
Craig D.

Maybe:
bactgudz - Adrian right?

I'd like to know 8 people are coming if I am going to head down.
11  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: Myriad Games Vintage - Saturday December 20th, 2014 on: December 16, 2014, 03:01:10 pm
I'm available to make it.

If anyone sees this and can attend, please chime in.

If Tony is on TMD, I'd love to talk to him about the merits of Sword of Fire and Ice. Never got around to telling him I was running it in conjunction with Batterskull.

Hey this is Tony.  Now knowing you were running Batterskull and SoFI makes more sense.  I can see both being a 4 turn clock (batterskull + the stoneforge vs a stoneforge w/ the sword).  As you didn't need the lifelink (not like I was going to pressure you too much with a landstill list) drawing the extra card with the sword was the right call.

It was really frustrating staring at the 1 of Academy ruins in my hand both games, and not drawing into 1 of my 4x ee's.

As always, fun games with good people. Congrats to top 8.

December event was cancelled anyways per an email from Myriad's Renee.

Hey Josh, this is Tony. Nice List.

My good results of a Standstill-less Landstill deck (Dig Through Time instead) did not play out as well on Sunday. Afer finishing 9th in the trial I felt like I had to run it again. Lost to three delver decks, which my testing had shown to be a good match up.

It was nice meeting and playing against you.

I'll be there (Tony).

Just need to decide between DTT or TC...

I don't think he said the concept was new, he just made a list that was able to manage the life loss and actually had a chance against MUD.  Regardless though it is a pretty innovative list and I'm sure it'll shake things up.  I'm liking fire/ice even more as a 1 of in a non-Bob gush list.

I plan on being there. If anyone else from NE is planning on going and is looking to carpool let me know and we can work something out

Tried to PM you but it is telling me I didn't "match the letters", although I didn't see anything related to that.

Anyways, I'm interested in attending and looking to carpool, except I am not sure who you are, haha. This is Tony from Myriad games (was at the event on 7/30).
