Mindbreak Trap isn't good aganist combo?
I tried this card during the last few tournament (obv in sideboard) e it works very good because unexpected.

If combo is a problem (with unmask and cabal therapy it isn't an impossible MU) play more aggressive: http://www.tcdecks.net/deck.php?id=10726&iddeck=78318

2  Eternal Formats / Blue-Based Control / Re: Bomberman Redux on: December 06, 2012, 06:04:29 am
Hi,
i want to play bomberman in a tournament this week-end.
Metagame is 30% oath, 30% stax, 30% control (with confidant) and 10% bant and ichorid.
I have tested UW and UWb but i prefere the first versione, a true control deck that i prefer to play.
If Stax is a problem, could be a good idea try UWg for trygon predator maindeck?
With G maindeck if possible, for example, run with tarmogoyf in side and nature's claim.
What do you think?

Those are what we call "leading questions" and I think you can answer them yourself.

Imho the answer is that we have a different metagame or i am a noob.
Imho is semi-impossible win vs decks how mud with 20 mana pre-side and 21 post-side; if you don't start with 2-3 mana or with trygon and artifact plays, for example, ws + sphere and the next turn wasteland/strip/2nd sphere imho is very difficult win.

Hi Smemmen, congratulations from Italy for your result.
I wanted to ask you some questions:
1) if your opponent brokes a your land, with 14 lands (game only a basic land), how can you put vendilion or trygon into play? (I do not think you play gush every time, or you have always Fastbond into play?)
2) Bob will remain always into play the 3th turn?
3) If you play against bant that control more than you, it makes more denial than you, it play more creatures and stronger than you and play even the removal of the board as you come out?
4) Against turbo Tezzeret that has 4-5 mana in the first turn your mana spell pierce are goods?
5) Do you have trygon first or vendillion at the 1st/2 turn(3 Mana are statistics  with your manabase ...) to beat the PW?
6) against MUDs with 2 ingot and onlu one ancient grudge are you ok?
7) Have you ever seen three spheres into play with one of them that gives you 4 rounds (lodestone ndr)  + n wires?
9) Do you start each game?

@Sheva

If your goal is speed - combo Dredge why do you still play Ichorid in the main deck? I find it does little to speed you up in game one and is far better suited for slow rolling games two and three.

Our metagame is 40% ws.deck; ichorid is the best creature in this MU and it is very good vs each deck with wasteland.

This one is build for speed, with a full set of Stitchers plus 3 Sun Titan and tons of fast mana like LED, Lotus Petal, and Mox Sapphire.

(I am sorry for my english )

Hello, I have just seen this topic and i have decided to register.
I am Luca Brugnone, the player of the quoted list.
The list is wrong because i play with 3 Fatestitcher and 1 Ancestral Recall.
I decided to play a list with 3 titans and 4 dread return because i like very fast deck and because i love Sun Titan, imho a very good card in this deck because it can do nice tricks with bazaar and bloodghast.

With this list i did:
7-2 at DDay losing the last game to get into top8 with an opponent who is the god of timetwister
I won the T1T #12 in Pontedera (45 players)
I won 2 tournaments with -30 players
I makes 4 top8 in tournaments with +40 players
All this in 12 tournaments, imho it's good.

I decided to play 4 dread return, 3 fatestitcher+1 ancestral and 3 sun titan because i want to see those cards and I hate wasting time; this deck is designed to be as fast as possible, decrease the amount of those cards would decrease the chances to close within 2° turn.

Why play Sun Titan and non Iona, Terastodont and/or Woodfall?
I do believe that the best defense is attack.
Iona, and Woodfall Terastodonte are cards that gain time, the don't win but give only a problem at the oppontent.
Iona enters into game and i chose a color: if i chose blue i risk to get black bombs (for example yawgmot's will or necropotence), if I chose black i risk to get blue solutions (for example chain of vapor or echoing truth), if I chose a different color that card is even more useless.
Terastodont and  Woodfall broke a permanent.
Ok I'm happy, then in 70% of the cases I can not do anything else ---> End of the turn.
Finish a turn is a risk especially against decks with black.
Sun titan can be an utilities and can help to close because in most cases calls into play the bazaar.
Now, is better have a good chance to win (fastly) or stalling?
Imho ithe first option is better.

Why I don't play Chalice of the void, leyline or unmask?
Explosion.
Unfortunately, a deck has 60/61 cards.
What can I take to put them?
Honestly I don't know.
The rate should compensate for the lack of protections.
