hey Le Pougnezu,

don't say that to them because they're going to abuse of your kindness :p

Still, I"m available if you need one card or two but I really don't have the time to take care of a whole list.

(Still available for delays :p)

Hi,

I will said the semi circular because it will give an impression of fluidity, altough the other one will be shocking because it's a "point d'accroche" for the eyes, it means that, in architecture, when you make it, you'll have a break in the line of vision.  I don't know if I'm clear...

That's my opinion Smile

We're not here to talk about politics... But to talk about the events in France and try to understand them... We don't care about you're political side, please be objective..
10  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Warzone in France on: November 10, 2005, 12:31:23 pm
I don't think you can compare your ghettos and our suburbs we don't have no fights between gangs or some stuffs like, people are sometimes quite rich because of our social system (a lot of children=a lot of allowances). We just have some stupids guys who are smoking cannabis and hanging around all day and sometimes beatting people..

Note ; just want to say that 6 months ago I was a full user , 5 days ago I was a community member and now I'm a basic user ... Somebody can explain that ? ...
11  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Warzone in France on: November 09, 2005, 01:36:12 pm
I'm safe for the moment, thanks. The cities which are currently concerned are on the North of Paris, I'm living in the South.

Limbo told you what happened at the very beginning, they're now saying that the two young Muslims who hide in a transformatorhouse weren't pursued by the police... Then our Minister of Interior Department (Nicolas Sarkozy), came to what we call a "cité" (which is actually a huge residence with cheap flats and where the atmosphere is pretty hot since the population is rather poor), and said he was fed up with "the rabble" as he called the guys who live there (these guys are the one who are burning car at the moment). So, these guys weren't happy that the Minister had insult them so they started burning cars to protest.

Where are we now ?

-Four of the sixteen articles of the law of the 3 April 1955 are maybe going to be implemented in twenty-five districts of France. This law hadn't be implemented since The Algerian War.. This law involve a curfew, the closing of the rooms of spectacles, bars and places of meeting of any nature, the handing-over of the weapons of first, fourth and fifth categories, and give the capacity to order searchings in residence by day and night.
-Today, N.Sarkozy said that he was going to expel "without delay" foreigners in regular or irregular situation condemned for their participation in urban violences.

Next news tomorrow..

Moxlotus: the creation of the french suburbs (the closer ones from Paris) was between the XIXth and the XXth century, they were either industrial towns or dormitory towns for the people who were used to work in Paris. The buildings who were built in the 60s-70s are now in a very bad condition (because they were cheap and were built very fast). During the massive immigration after the war of Algeria a lot immigrants went to these residences because they were cheap.
Then, the time has past and nobody didn't care anymore with the suburb. So, it became the place of all traffics and delinquencies. They excluded themselves as they were a Muslim majority. When they saw that when you are excluding you (they didn't go to school, they were sstealingcars in other districts...) you couldn't have no job and that nobody want to hear you ; they start shouting, since nobody were listen to them even when they were shouting they started beating some people and now they are burning cars...

-Our Minister of the Interior ddepartmentthinks that we have to expel the people whe are involved in the urban violences...
-Our Prime Minister thinks that we must give money to associations in these hot districts and to set up a social action plan in schools...
12  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Warzone in France on: November 08, 2005, 04:49:39 pm
I don't know if there is some other europeans who want to give their poitn of view on these events. The problem is that the main events happened in Paris, Lyon and Marseille, the three biggest cities in France. (You knon who is the other french on this forum.. anyway).
I'll write another more detailed post tomorrow with the main informations, and I specify, I'll give you the information from what I see and not the informations from the newspaper or TV, which are, as you said, full of propaganda.
13  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Warzone in France on: November 08, 2005, 02:38:37 pm
I'm sure you all heard something about the events in France. I don't know what your newspaper told about the current problems in the French suburbs but I want to know. So, let me know what did you read about this problem in your newspaper or TV .

If you want some more informations about it (I'm quite concerned with this problem since I actually live in the suburb).

I'm waiting for your reactions, comments about that.

N.B : I'm back !

18  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Travelling to Europe this summer (and SCG may) on: July 04, 2005, 01:04:07 pm
Jacob: do you have the exact arrival info for Amsterdam? Me and Pyro are coming to pick you up (rvs, bigmac and goochem have to work that day and Limbo is leaving for his holidays). We will probably take the 15:08 in Eindhoven which arrives at 16:34 in A'dam.
I arrive at 17.06 on what looks like train 9333 (I'm not totally sure if that's the train number, but the time should be right).

Sad I want to say first that France was voting ...

But just woke up... Anyway , as Toad said ; results tonight at 10h P.M (GMT +1).
25  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: How about the European Constitution ? on: May 25, 2005, 03:56:39 pm
Just several comments :

1 I've read the constution (not entirely I admit) , and it's just blah blah blah, "omg the constitution is so cool" , "we really need it" , and stuffs like "it is going to underline your basics rights like social , racial equality ; the right to have a social protection ; the right to have a very efficient justice; etc" > we already got that , but if you read between the lines you could see : "this is very cool for the capital (understand : the capital of the politicians, economist), this is very cool for our exportation ... " . Whatever.

2 What the country are going to manage :
-Scholar programs
-Immigration (part of)
-other stuffs pretty important
-And .... The protection of the fishes.
Stupid.

3 What does the England is going to vote ?
They are living alone , on their island , in autarky. They don't care about Euro ...

That's all , going to bed , I don't know if what I've said is very interesting..

Brit.

26  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: How about the European Constitution ? on: May 24, 2005, 06:00:31 am
Hum , good opinions there.

1. Immigration ; I really not hope that the immigration will be easier. Even if I know that the Shengein space will be enforced. the Bolkestein's directive underline the inequities if the level of life in Europe.

2. I really hope to help the eatsern countries to reach the level of France or Germany. Example : They give MORE the the P.A.C (Common Agricultural Policy) that to the subsidies  of the Eastern Europe . (Amazing).

A lot of things to say , but don't have the time right now...

I'll back back. OH and by the way, if I could vote (in one month) ; I'll  vote No.
27  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / How about the European Constitution ? on: May 23, 2005, 10:22:48 am
What do you think about the European Constitution ? This thread is obviously for the Europeans, but if someone Else got an opinion just go ahead.

Do you think it's bad or right ?

Don't you think it is too much print of liberalism ?

Don't you think it locks us up in an ideological dogma of the money ?

Could it be an amazing progress for the European economy ?

Is it going to level the inequities of Eastern Europe ?

Well, I don't know if my ideas are very clear, but anyway, give me your opinions and your feelings.

Brit. France -Vote the May 29th-
