1  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: William Renquist Dies at age 80 on: September 04, 2005, 12:52:03 am
He was a nice guy as well. His grandson, a Junior in high school was perrenially in my class and his grandfather, the Justice would always come and spend a day winth our class. From that breif amount of time and fromm seeing him at his family's house durring burthday parties etc i can confidently say that as well as being a good justice he was a good person.

Now for those of us who are not computer savvy, such as me, how do you use this? Can i use it through limewire? Any help would be appreciated

At xxgg you could pay a cost of 6 for two 3/3s. Thats a bit cheap i think, also it would be really good in limeted.

Maybe the discard three artifact cards should be part of the cost to activate. Tap, Discard three artifact cards and sac:...That way it would keep welder shenanagins away.
6  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Landwalk Equipment Cycle on: March 20, 2005, 09:23:01 am
This is just my idea but i think it would be cool if they granted enem=y color abilities. I think it would work flavorly, this equipment grants island walk, and firebreathing. That way it shows the cards dislike with blue and leads you into playiong blues enemy color, red. The same would be true for all of them.

This could be a really cool constructed, casual card as well as for t4. For instance you could use cards like astral slide to slide out your creatures at their end of turn, play this durring your turn and you have some blockers eot.

I like it. Its kind of like Darksteel Citadel in Type 2 as that it hoses land destruction, albeit a little.

12  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Mind Spike on: February 15, 2005, 10:14:59 pm
I dont really thinkl the first one works. R/D is trying to weaken counters and that is a strictly better force spike. my favorite counter of all.
13  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Butchered at Birth on: February 13, 2005, 08:43:21 pm
I say leave it as an enchantment, it is very similar to standstill which is imo an awesome card both flavorwise and developmentallywise.
14  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Phrenic Thoughtdigger on: January 12, 2005, 03:38:47 pm
Yes it is a psedo draw engine. Draw a card every three turns. That doesnt seem overly powerfull to me

What if it got like plus 4 instead to promote poison playing, ie give them a poisoin counter and then remove it to make him a 5/6.
16  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Faithless Healer on: January 06, 2005, 02:21:50 pm
Nice idea...if they bring back poison.
Theres one problem that arises. Red is the color of flips while black and green are the colors of poison, i dont know if black or green could get a coinflip card.
17  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Razed Spirit on: January 04, 2005, 02:38:13 pm
I like what Ephraim has to say. What if you took away the activation cost completly and made it say when this is targeted you may sac it, if you do all creatures get -3/-3 untill eot.
18  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Here ya go Chief! on: January 03, 2005, 07:51:52 pm
Stolens idea is very flavorful in blue, and i love it. This card would be similar to Standstill promoting a standstill of creatures being playd, if you will. It would also promote decisions by each player as they want the creature but is it worth giving up a creature they have in their hand? As it is worded it kind of wrecks tooth, but i suppose they could always trade a STE with it...cool idea.
19  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Null Rod on a Critter? on: January 03, 2005, 07:47:18 pm
I think the pro artifacts is a nice touch, it emphasizes the cards, and colors diskike for artifacts. I think that the optimal cost might be 2G so we dont see it plopping dow on turn 2 with a birds and it becomes splashable. If the cost is left at GG then it boils down to play mono green to beat raff or play raff. Becuase we dont want to dictate decks, R and D considers that a mistake with ravager being an example, i think we want the card to be easilly splashed. At states i saw some affinity decks packing chris goria parts in their SB for Horobi. This card would easilly be attacked too with cards like e bolt or its own if we leave it a legend...imo a good move. Keep in m,ind, this card is not an autoloss for affinity just like SotPC.
20  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Fading Golem on: January 03, 2005, 07:38:42 pm
Well, is a 3/4 for two mana that can attack only once that good? For three mana it can attack twice and for four...why arent we playing juggernaut?
Personally i just dont thnk the cc on this is that outrageous.
