Would it be too strong to add, say "Pack 3: creatures of the chosen type get +1/+1"? (Obviously, the pack # can change.) I see the homage to Proteus Machine and Flute, but still, it's not like it's tooo powerful a card as is....

Martyr's Sacrifice W Enchantment Sacrifice a white creature: destroy target black creature. A despot's cannot harm those who do not fear his wrath.
This is almost certainly undercosted, but a. I'm not sure what to cost it at b. the effect really isn't very powerful. I'd like to make it either "destroy target creature", or "destroy target creature with power >= foo" (where foo is an arbitrary number at which we set a boundary for "fattie") but those seem a to be outside flavor for this (and white in general). If we did make it one of those, it'd certainly need to go up in cost. Also, would it be bad to make it just "sac a creature:" instead of the restricted version?
Current Version Martyr's Sacrifice 1WW Enchantment Sacrifice a white creature: Martyr's Sacrifice does damage equal to that creature's power to target creature. If that creature is black, destroy it. A despot cannot harm those who do not fear his wrath.

What he said. You're putting in Root Maze and Ankh to hate fetches (among other things.) I'd take 'em out for normal forests/mountains. (yes, that hurts your mana. Deal.) I think you should really play Hidden Gibbons. What deck doesn't play instants, and who doesn't like a 1 mana 4/4? Hidden Guerillas aren't bad either.

@urza23, I'm hardly an expert--but I'd guess he'd say no, since he uses both Aether Vials and Ninjas, neither of which pump the Dryad.
Waterfront Bouncer'd probably be better, but what about Cloud of Fairies in the Spiketail slot?

Official text from the Saviors FAQ (It's up on Wizard's site, check it) Erayo, Soratami Ascendant
1U
Legendary Creature -- Moonfolk Monk
1/1
Flying
Whenever the fourth spell of a turn is played, flip Erayo, Soratami Ascendant.
-----
Erayo's Essence
Legendary Enchantment
Counter the first spell played by each opponent each turn.
Erayo, Soratami Ascendant has received errata. The new text of the flipped half is:
Erayo's Essence
Legendary Enchantment
Whenever an opponent plays a spell for the first time in a turn, counter that spell.
Erayo's Essence triggers only for the first spell an opponent plays in a given turn. It doesn't trigger off any other spell that player plays after the first.
If Erayo, Soratami Ascendant flips while an opponent's first spell for the turn is still on the stack, the ability of Erayo's Essence doesn't trigger because the opponent's spell has already been played. The spell isn't countered.
If you have multiple opponents, Erayo's Essence can trigger once for each opponent.
So yeah, it has to be in play when the fourth spell is played--i.e., it can be spell 1, 2, or 3, but not 4.
