It might be, if your tactics is to have Remora in play for many turns in a row. As long as you are keeping it with only one or two mana, it is not really necessary.
And of course, what to remove from the list...

Why is Ethersworn Canonist good against Tendrils?
It only stops them from playing everything after their first non-artifact spell. So if the opponent plays all kinds of cheap artifacts and after that, only one tendrils, he can still finish you off. It does get harder to do that, but I think it is not a dead stop, or am I missing something.

Hello, How do you kill your opponent? I'd say, add a Serra Angel or some other Vigilance creature, that can withstand Stasis lockdown. I'd probably go for some mana sources that generate more than one mana (City of Traitors, Ancient Tomb or even Temple of the False God) so you can cast something without having to wait for 5 or 6 turns. And, if you toss in a Reset or Candelabra of Tawnos you can untap more than one for one, which is quite handy as well. If you are playing casual, which I guess you do since it is in the casual forum now, you could even add crucible of worlds and something to sac your lands to (Zuran Orb) so you can sac tapped lands, and replay them to generate mana and have 2 life. I might start building my own Stasis Deck, so I like some test results to read. Succes with stalling and annoying your opponent with just one little enchantment! Sjoerd

Hi!,
Just my thoughts on the deck. I think you have been a little bit too optimistic about some of the match-ups. You only have one real kill, which is DSC. Let's say you lose the die roll and go second and someone drops a red mana source with a red elemental blast as backup, or has a force of will and a random blue card. That makes you lose your fast (turn one or two) tinker. If that happens you hardly have a chance to cast DSC. I admit the disruption is solid, but disruption is far from a kill. I could walk into a mana drain, or a force and lose something important, but in stax, or control slaver there are lots of options to get the lot back. Most Yawgmoth's Will decks can handle the loss of a couple of spells, especially to force of will, since you lose two cards, against their one (except if they use lotus or another one time mana source to cast it).
Short, I think you need more kill, else people can just sit and wait for all the counterspells to disappear and start rebuilding a couple of turns later.
Could be that I am incredibly wrong, but I don't think I would be afraid of a match against this. (would love to try, since monoU is just plain cool)

Before the non-proxy tournament I probably going to a proxied one, and I will proxy power i think. I'm still a bit in doubt of what to do exactly.
It's 12 proxies, (?), so what should i put in:
4x Bazaar 4x Workshop 4x Power (Lotus, Mox Ruby, Mox Pearl, Mox Sapphire)
or maybe to disrupt a little bit more:
4x Bazaar 4x Workshop 3x In the Eye of Chaos. 1x ?
Since I will not be able to play with proxies all the time, I like to use the tournament to try some ways to better the deck with more affordable cards.. This tournament is not just to win, but have the best way to test a deck. Any ideas? I am thinking about getting rid of the Masks, like Vroman said (thanks to you) and trying more disruption (in the eye of chaos, chains of M). Although I think the Chains will do nothing to just the same to me as to the opponent.
I think the Workshops and Bazaars are an auto include in any stax build, but that leaves four vacant spaces, and other adjustments. I do not have a clue about the metagame at the tournament, but I expect a couple of guys playing Oath, Stax and Gifts. Any help would be very welcome.
Cheers,
Sjoerd

This is a problem, since your opponent will get his big creature out a turn before you do, and since he is playing an orchard himself, you won't be able to oath at all. That, simply said, was suicide...

Hi,
I've been working on the same problem, since there will be an open sanctioned championship coming up shortly. I don't own power, and can't afford things like workshop, drains, or even Mana Crypt.
This is the build I've been testing lately, but the Vintage environment is quite low here...
1 Mox Diamond 1 Mana Vault 3 Chalice of the Void 4 Uba Mask 1 Sol Ring 3 Crucible of Worlds 4 Smokestack 1 Trinisphere 1 Memory Jar 2 Tangle Wire 2 Gilded Lotus
1 Wheel of Fortune 1 Tinker 1 Demonic Tutor 1 Balance 1 Enlightened Tutor
4 Goblin Welder 2 Gorilla Shaman 1 Triskelion 1 Karn, Silver Golem 2 Duplicant 1 Sundering Titan 1 Platinum Angel
4 City of Traitors 2 Great Furnace 1 Strip Mine 3 Glimmervoid 4 Wasteland 1 Tolarian Academy 1 Barbarian Ring 4 Ancient Tomb
I think Platinum Angel will help the NonPowered decks out a bit, since you've got a couple of extra turns with it in play. City of Traitors helps me out quite some times, since you need most of your mana in the first couple of turns, and can wait/tinker/tutor for a crucible afterwards. The tournament allows power, but no proxies, so I think I'll leave the mox monkeys in. The main problem I have encountered with this build is not having the right mana, which is why I added the Gilded Lotii, and the Glimmervoids. To screw more sorcery of instant heavy decks, I should have a couple of "In the Eye of Chaos" soon.
Any affordable ideas?

I just read the thread, and I am wondering why Genesis Chamber would be any good. I know it produces tokens to clamp, but you will need insane amounts of mana to clamp them. Chamber does not trigger Glimpse of Nature.
The mana needed for Skullclamp is usually my biggest problem and keeps me from going of in turn 1 or 2. I even tried adding white (proxy lotus and mox) for Auriok Steelshaper. If that is in play you're off to the races.
Could Channel be an idea for the extra mana. It would/could work exceptionally well in the build with the Gaea's Cradles...
I have added a death wish as well, just for those idiots who use Cranial Extraction, Lobotomy or Quash on your kill...
