1  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: [Card Discussion] Trade Secrets w/ Quicken on: February 13, 2006, 06:28:49 am
So your willing to pay UUU1 to draw 5 cards and give your opp 2.
And in so doing have to make a mana base completely dependent on U,
I'm really not trying to rip u on this I really want to see someone do something really cool with quicken but this just isn't it.
If your looking for a real card advantage just run Intuition/AK.
And I really hate to agreed with Pacman(easily the bigest scrub ever) but Gifts for win with the easy to cast U3(especially with drain mana) or 8 slots in my deck(that could be used for much better cards) a mana cost = to UUU1 and all I get is 5 cards(not to mention having to get this combo in your hand to actually make viable) and giving my opponent 2.
And a very simple rule about vintage that I love to hear, anything that cost u 4 in vintage and doesn't win u the game really just isn't worth playing.

1. I agree with SonataOfTheCathedral there realy is no need for living wish the best u can realy get with it is either a Maze of ith or a waste, and that would be easier to do with a crop rotation. Either way not realy a good ideal or needed.
2. I realy think u need Dark Confidents, they would realy help make u more consistent.
3. STP are a must if u expect to play against alot of Oath, but there is always the engenered plague to deal with the oath matchup too, its just that STP has more use then just Oath and some Fish match ups
4. And have u givin any though to Mesmiric Fiend, he realy helps with disruption.
5. Oh and last what happen to Mind twist? Realy great card help agaisnt everything.

Actualy I rather liked the article, it reminds me that people who have absolutely no hope of ever being good still play, you know those casual players.  The way most of us use to all be back when we were 13 when we use to play just for fun and just with the cards we had in our little 500count boxes, when we would play with all of them in one huge pile.  I'm just saying take the article for what ever u want but it obviously just for fun, and meant for non-competitive players(hopefully), I'm not trying to defend this pile or attacking anyone for what they've said, but all in all does it really matter what this one guy at SCG had to say about Type one.  Just have a good laugh at all the people who think there gonna break into type 1 with this deck and move on.

I realy like the ideal that your going with in this deck but, I have one question did u ever think of keeping the tog in the sidebored.  You know to give you more of an edge, in certain games?
That realy all I see that I might change, all in all realy nice build I like it
