I realized after I posted that it was a pretty vague question.
I think most of my concern comes from the obligation of wizards to honor the reprint policy in the long term, and maybe even the implications of the mtg patent expiring...
This may all be paranoia, but I feel like if the people here don't share my concern, then it's a pretty good barometer of the risk involved in such a purchase.
Now I'll just have to make sure they don't get stolen...

I have been playing Legacy for quite a while, and seeing that I just got a decently paying job, I was debating whether to take the dive and buy a set of power and maybe mana drains, etc...
Anyway, I was wondering what you guys think the risk would be long term for such a purchase. This risk would not be including the possibility of fakes, loss, or somehow destruction of the cards.
