Here are two links from the SCG archives. This one is the review from the M10 set release and has the cards listed two different ways one by set, and the other by color. The Complete Vintage ChecklistThis one is the review from the M11 set release and includes Zen, Worldwake, and Rise (which were not included in the above link). This lists out the M11 cards and the full list is sorted by type. M11 is Amazing in VintageIt appears his last article for SCG was right before the launch of Scars, so to find information from those sets forward I would agree with Bill and listen to the podcasts, and use the resources you already listed to find the frequency of cards played in top results

Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / [Off Topic][Free PC Game] Path of Exile

Path of Exile is a free to play Action RPG for the PC, with a new expansion being released on the 20th of Aug. If you are worried that having not played before will be a detriment, the expansion will start new leagues. These new leagues start everyone at level one, with no preexisting items. Everyone in the new leagues starts at the same place, gear-wise. I am wondering if there is anyone on these forums that plays or is interested in playing. I usually play in the Standard/SC league, but have a few characters in Hardcore/HC league for the challenges. I will do my best to answer any questions here, and will post some links below where more information can be found. My IGN is ChronoExile

Watching Terence's playing here really hurt my eyes, bad plays after bad plays. For a sec, I thought somebody video-ed me! I really love watching these coverages. Very good! I can let Terry speak for himself, but as someone who has played many games against him, I think the fact that this was his first time on camera may have contributed to some of those plays. He is generally a pretty competent opponent. Back from my holiday break... I will attempt to speak for myself, but most everything is accurate. This was my first time being on a feature match (filmed or otherwise), for any format. I made a lot of mistakes both with the tutors (I mess up Merchant Scroll and Mystical more than I should admit) and with the Yag Will turn. I am still looking to get better at this format, and am grateful to these opportunities to learn more from the experiences and mistakes. Most of the time feeling like a big idiot once is enough to correct the mistake going forward, and I hope this is one of those times.

Are there any humans that allow to sac permanents for cheap? These were the first ones that came to mind: There might be others. Cartel Aristocrat Creature — Human Advisor Sacrifice another creature: Cartel Aristocrat gains protection from the color of your choice until end of turn. Viscera Seer Creature — Vampire Wizard Sacrifice a creature: Scry 1. (To scry 1, look at the top card of your library, then you may put that card on the bottom of your library.) While not a human, it is a wizard so might work depending on the build.

I was wondering if Warstorm was ever going to come back ( http://warstorm.wikia.com/wiki/Warstorm.com). I was playing Warstorm for about a year before it was purchased by Zynga, migrated to Facebook (without allowing for you to transfer all of your collection to Facebook), and then promptly axed. I am glad this type of auto-play game still exists. The user interface is a little more complex than the Warstorm interface, so it is taking me a little more time to understand all of the factions, currency, and job titles (infantry, cavalry, pikers, etc). I like the game and it is a pretty good at consuming time, but I have only just started getting into this game. Basic opinion of the game is the games are dictated almost completely on luck and rare/powerful cards. This opinion will likely change as I unlock more cards and start to play with all the different factions.

Honestly, I need help with this part of the tournament. If anyone out there has the necessary equipment and the time to do it, I'd really appreciate if they reached out to me.
A few months ago Atomic Empire was streaming a Vintage 15 proxy event, you could contact the store and see if any of their eternal players are heading up for your event and try to work something out that way. Might be a long shot, but hope the information helps.

RE: Interview Feedback
I enjoyed the content of the interviews. What a given player was playing and why, their predictions of the meta-game, food and drink choices (a running theme of the show), and highlights/lowlights of the tournament so far. As a new player getting into the format it was helpful to hear why decks were chosen or how some key interactions may have happened. While I do not think I will ever choose to play Belcher because, "it is the only deck I can pilot while drunk." It sure was entertaining to hear as a reason for playing the archetype. Interviewing the players at different times in the event was a little disjointed, but there was a warning up front about it, so thanks for the heads up.
Also, I have a little constructive criticism about the audio. The background sound was a little distracting at times during the interviews, if there is a way to dampen the ambient noise for future player interviews it would be appreciated. The other point is the sensor beep, it is a harsh contrast to the conversation. Having it be less jarring, or not as loud would be preferred.
All that said, I really enjoy the content you guys are creating. Keep up the good work.

Is there a compendium or FAQ somewhere about the different types of fake, or otherwise not authentic WotC Magic cards?
I can generally tell when I have cards in my hand, but photos can be taken in any light or angle to reduce this, so what are the best ways to spot different types of counterfeit cards?

Vintage Community Discussion / Community Introductions / Re: Introduce Yourself

Hello to The Mana Drain community. I became aware of magic as a snot-noised kid in elementary school, during holiday break in 1994. I started collecting Magic before I learned how to play the game, but it was not long before there was a group of us playing at recess and lunch. I have continued to play casually, and also play limited from time to time.
Moving the clock to a few months ago, I started a new job and discovered four of my co-workers played during lunch. They are more interested in standard, but it was a renewal of my interest in the game. In looking for ways to be knowledgeable and helpful for our play group I stumbled upon the MTGcast.com network. My recent discovery of this network lead me to both Serious Vintage, and So Many Insane Plays. Natural progression lead me to dust off my old cardboard and make my way here.
I look forward to what I will be able to learn from the community, and hopefully be able to contribute to conversations as well.
