1  Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / [SOI]Burn from Within on: March 21, 2016, 01:11:19 am

Burn from Within
XR
Sorcery
Burn from Within deals X damage to target creature or player. If a creature is dealt damage this way, it loses indestructible until end of turn. If that creature would die this turn, exile it instead.

Not sure if this is relevant on sorcery speed, but maybe it have potential?
2  Eternal Formats / Bazaar-Based Decks / Re: Pitch Dredge (formerly "Manaless Dredge 2014") on: March 14, 2016, 04:25:40 am
Hi Adam,

still waiting for your Power9 Challenge videos Smile
I noticed that you switched to "Vengeful Dredge" (this time without Chalice) recently. It is refreshing change, but I am still not sure about it as it seems more vulnerable to one shoot GY hate and mirror if you don't have Leyline in opener. What are your observations so far?
3  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Re: Legacy Challenge and League on MODO on: March 14, 2016, 03:12:41 am
If anybody is interested here are Top16 decklists from Legacy Challenge on MODO:
http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/mtgo-standings/legacy-premier-2016-03-13

I was unable to play, but I saw some familiar Vintage players enlisted before challenge started.
Wining Dredge list is almost the same like one I wanted to play.

Rewake "TMD on MODO" theme (http://www.archive.themanadrain.com/index.php?topic=41738.90).
(Re)Build strong clan, make a simple sticky list who-is-who on MODO, encourage online testing.

Congrats AJ, I saw you are performing well.
Last night I played traditional list, but ended only as 24th with 4-3. Lost to the Shops x2 (last one due to skipping attack phase with multiple F2) and Mentor. Won over Belcher, Pyro, Shops and Oath.
I was prepared for DPS packing Unmask maindeck but instead I faced bunch of Shops.
7  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: TheManaDrain.com - New Direction? on: February 23, 2016, 02:46:23 am
Huh, these few days felt like an eternity for me.
Best result would come from everyone in the group doing what is best for himself and the group.
I feel like great days are coming for this community.

8  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Legacy Challenge and League on MODO on: February 11, 2016, 04:20:37 am
So Legacy get its own Challenge and League.
Prices for Top8 seems really good.
Legacy Daily Events and the eight-player single-elimination queue will be discontinued.

9  Eternal Formats / Bazaar-Based Decks / Re: Pitch Dredge (formerly "Manaless Dredge 2014") on: February 11, 2016, 01:14:09 am
Thanks. There would be more honestly but I've been taking a little break from playing.  It's a great deck.
Thx.
Same here. As soon as I manage to get back I'll pilot it again.

11  Eternal Formats / Online Tournaments / Re: MTGO Player-Run Vintage League: January Top 8 on: January 31, 2016, 03:55:58 am
Guys, I am sorry to say that I will not be able to participate in Top4.
Company is sending me on 2 week biz trip with Company laptop and I am unable to play MTGO on it due to security reasons.
I want to thank Shawn on his effort organizing this league and to all players participating in it.
I had a blast playing every match.
I will try to write article during my absence about my attempt to introduce Vintage to local community and starting local Eternal League inspired by Shawn running this event.
Thx and sorry for inconvenience.
12  Eternal Formats / Online Tournaments / Re: MTGO Power Nine Challenge - Saturday, January 30th on: January 31, 2016, 03:50:13 am
I didn't received feedback from WoTC yet about issue.
However I managed to go 4-3 and at least to cash finishing within Top32.
I played Pitch Dredge with transnational sideboard and not having ability to make proper siding really made tournament miserable for me.
Even with this drawback I had a chance to go 5-2 but I missed my opportunity to Mental Misstep Mystical Tutor into Tinker.
13  Eternal Formats / Online Tournaments / Re: MTGO Power Nine Challenge - Saturday, January 30th on: January 30, 2016, 02:25:46 pm
Well this is really annoying. I am not able to sideboard at all, client is showing 5 same cards in my deck and I cannot submit it after side boarding. No matter what change I make I am able to play just with main deck. I submitted reimbursement ticket but this is not relay about 250 Play Points. I am so frustrated now.
14  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: MTGO: Containment Priest and Grafdigger's Cage bugged on: January 29, 2016, 05:56:40 pm
Confirming Cage bug in case of Dredge as well. Ichorid, Bloodghast, Narcomeba, all are entering battlefield like Cage is not there. However it i snot possible to play Dread Return or Therapy form GY.
15  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Nebraska's War on: January 29, 2016, 01:04:30 pm
So, I saw a few months back that there was a tournament in Italy named Nebraska's War.  Does anyone know how this name came about?
As far as I know, it is named after caffe/ place where they are gathering and its name is "Nebraska".

20  Eternal Formats / Online Tournaments / Re: TMD Vintage League Trimester 1 Decklists! on: January 18, 2016, 09:44:58 am
Just for curiosity, how many of you are from Northeastern U.S? Maybe 100%?

For the rest of readers: is any european here interested in playing an european TMD league?
Actually there is MTGO Player-Run Vintage League organized by desolutionist.
I am from Europe and even I found it difficult to align with other time zones I don't see reason for "Europe specific league" unless you can gather great number of players to play at such event. In that case I am interested.
21  Eternal Formats / Online Tournaments / Re: MTGO Player-Run Vintage League: January 1 (Week 2 Pairings) on: January 14, 2016, 02:11:20 am
I keep getting destroyed by matori's impressive deck. I've got Leoj in the queue. Desolutionist, what's the best time to meet and battle?
Hehe, but matori is wrecked by vizzerdrix "traditional" dredge two times in a row. I really like your deck MtgVector. Its refreshing.
22  Eternal Formats / Online Tournaments / Re: MTGO Player-Run Vintage League: January 1 (Week 1 Pairings) on: January 09, 2016, 02:35:02 pm
I'm pretty sure that diophan didn't played that list. Qernavaks build with Myth Realised was very interesting to play against.
23  Eternal Formats / Online Tournaments / Re: MTGO Player-Run Vintage League: January 1 (Week 1 Pairings) on: January 09, 2016, 02:27:54 pm
3 lost. All 3 matches I went  2-1.

25  Eternal Formats / Online Tournaments / Re: MTGO Player-Run Vintage League: January 1 (Week 1 Pairings) on: January 04, 2016, 05:33:03 am
Thank you for your effort desolutionist, I really hope that our league will grow further.

@diophan and Qernavak

please contact me and let me know time that suites you for our games.
My mtgo id is same as here (matori) and I am CET time zone.
26  Eternal Formats / Bazaar-Based Decks / Re: Manaless Dredge 2014 on: January 02, 2016, 06:55:08 am
4-0 in first daily on Friday with Adams list except I added Dragonlord Kolaghan instead of 1 Golgari Thug maindeck. It really puts opponent on fast clock and gives you edge in some matchups. It can be pitched for Ichorid as well.
27  Eternal Formats / Online Tournaments / Re: MTGO Player-Run Vintage League: January 1 (Submit Deck Registration Now) on: December 29, 2015, 03:21:53 am
I'm just fine tuning my list, count me in Smile
28  Eternal Formats / Online Tournaments / Re: MTGO Power Nine Challenge - Saturday, December 26th on: December 28, 2015, 04:58:37 am
I showed up with following list :

4 Bazaar of Baghdad
4 Serum Powder
1 Dakmor Salvage
1 Riftstone Portal
2 Mana Confluence
2 Petrified Field
4 Undiscovered Paradise
4 Golgari Grave-Troll
4 Stinkweed Imp
3 Golgari Thug
4 Bridge from Below
2 Dread Return
1 Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite
1 Flame-Kin Zealot
4 Bloodghast
4 Ichorid
4 Narcomoeba
4 Leyline of the Void
4 Cabal Therapy
3 Unmask

SB 2 Contagion
SB 4 Ingot Chewer
SB 4 Nature's Claim
SB 3 Wispmare
SB 2 Serenity

I decided to go with MD Unmask, and I was short on 2 more Serenity in SB.
After 2-0 start, Belcher wrecked me game 3. I lost another one to Pyromencer after series of mulligans and some questionable side boarding.
My baby was waking up all the time since it is flue season here and I was distracted, so I finished with 3-4 and failed to be in T32 as on previous two challenges.
I really enjoyed game vs tribet as his deck is not something usually found on mtgo.
Got wrecked in mirror vs Randy Buehler playing his VSL list.
Looking forward to next Power9 challenge.

2017. Smile
I'm just thinking again about scheduling. Since I am in CET time zone (GMT+1) maybe it is better to spread matches throughout the week, although I voted for other option.
