Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: [Primer] Dry Slaver

If slaver is all about ditching big artifacts into the yard, than why doesn't the deck run 4 copies of Goblin Welder? I think it would be more important to get a Welder in play fast than putz around and scroll for stuff. Also, Vintage is a format full of tutors and Vampiric Tutor should definitely belong in here because its another card that gets you whatever you want and it can make you win out of a lost position. (Gifts does alot in this deck I understand, I play Gifts) Personally, I think fish is the only deck in type one that doesn't run all of the tutors demonic, vampiric, mystic. Every other slaver lists I've seen have Tolarian Academy, isn't that swaped with your fourth Polluted Delta? All I'm saying is cut the Scrolls for another Welder and Vampiric tutor and the land for a land otherwise the Primer is well informative. Nice Job!

Everything that you just said to my reply did not answer or pretain to anything I said or was asking.
Yes, it did. Yawgmoth's Will removes itself from the game. That lets you use Burning Wish to get that very same Yawgmoth's Will and put it in your hand. I'm giving you a full Warning for not only wasting everyone's time, but also not paying attention to the correct answer when someone carefully explained it to you. -Jacob

Quote from Smmenen: Turn One: Land, Ancestral.
Turn two:
Lotus, Yawg Will. Ancestral.
Several turns later I B Wished for Yawg Will and time walked twice after tinkering.
I might sound like an idiot, but how did u Burning Wish for Yawgmoth's Will when the card is already in your maindeck? Yawgmoth's Will is restricted and if u had a second one in your sideboard then that is ILLEGAL. Same note on time walk, u can't burning wish for time walk if your running one in your deck.
Also, I read the primers on those two links and there was nothing mentioned on the sideboard of Meandeck Gifts.

Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / Re: {Deck}[Combo] : TPS or Grim Long or IT?

IT is obviously the best of the three decks. TPS runs bob in the main and he doesn't help in the storm combo, also they run Memory Jar and Mind's Desire which are both not needed. Grim long has only one advantage over IT. Grim runs Xantid Swarm (I hate that guy). This is why people are starting to run one Darkblast in their maindeck. IT is the most consistent storm deck out there, it goes off turn 2 or 3 most of the time. IMO i never liked casting Grim tutor unless it was REALLY needed to get my tendrils.
@Smmenen You know that running one Chain of Vapor main and siding 3 of them is completely useless. If they EVER drop chalice @ 1, none of the 4 chains can bounce it. I went 2-0 vs. someone running Smmenen.dec and i went turn one COTV @ 0, turn 2 COTV @ 1 and Null Rod. Two turns later i dropped COTV @ 2 and they scooped.

I've played around with fish. I don't understand how people just run 4 bob, 4 mage, and 4 voidmage and expect to win with 12 guys. Oath will laugh @ u, Tendrils will storm you turn 2 cause your only out is stifle, and even stax would crumple u with Crucible/strip and smokestack. Fish is a deck with tons of hate, few creatures, slow clock and fragile manabase. You need some kind of BIG creature like Negator or Psychatog or the Nantuko guy (need black mana). IMO fish needs to start maindecking inferor cards like B2B, Arcane lab, etc. It just loses favor of even winning Game 1 without (<---LOL) having a fast win or those lock components.

Congradulations SOLY!!! Nice job on reaching the top 4 with (Anti-Oath) Psychatog It was great seeing you happy all day. I just have a small question..did that one Psychatog always show up in your games? It sucks that you had to play Jeremy twice, (Solydies.dec) LOL but you beatdown the same oath deck twice, hence Dave. As far as Ryan Thomas not showing up, I talked with him on Thursday and he said he couldn't make it due to vacation plans. off topic--> IMO Yawgmoth's Will should be banned! haha vintage would totally change. @zeus DSC is very good at rising to the top of your deck when you have a bob in play and that really sucks, plus the deck is modified to win with tendrils due to the stupid Y-Will.

Hi. I made a similar deck of UWB Fish...
4 Polluted Delta 3 Wasteland 3 Tundra 2 Flooded Strand 2 Underground Sea 2 Swamps 1 Island 1 Strip Mine
4 Dark Confidant 4 Meddling MAge 4 Drekavac 3 Phyrexian Negator
3 Null Rod 3 Moxen, sapphire, pearl, jet 1 Black Lotus
4 Force of Will 4 Duress 4 Swords to PLowshares 3 Stifle (I love this card) 1 Ancestral Recall 1 Time Walk 1 Demonic Tutor 1 Echoing Truth 1 Darkblast
As far as the deck goes, I haven't played it in any tournaments like Sean, but I've played around with it for about a month. IMO swords are alot better than the funny little gilded drake/waterfront bouncer trick.
The creature Drekavac is amzing from what I tested. It is VERY consistant on turn two and discarding a card is no problem. He is a 3/3 beater that just makes your opponent's clock faster.
Also, the deck has a few weaknesses: Chalice @ 1 (OUCH!) pyroclasm hurts Negator and of course, the worst card a fish player wants to see is Balance! Anyways, I was wondering if Negator should be cut for a different creature and how do I deal with chalice @ 1 ? Another point is that the only counters are Force of Will but I don't see any room for other counterspells.
Oh yeah, the sideboard that I crunched together is:
4 PLanar Void 3 Kami of Ancient Law ( Heavy Oath in my meta) 3 Cabal Therapy 3 Energy Flux 2 Arcane Laboratory
The planar voids and arcane labs are auto included, there is no explanation. The energy flux are a little slow so I'm considering changing those to Annuls or something. The cabal therapy works great after post sideboard..you have 7 cards in your deck that you can possibly have in your opening hand and destroy your opponent's plans on turn one--> 4 duress, 3 therapy. fish is a deck that doesn't care about one spell per turn, arcane lab is just simply another peice to slow down combo if they already didn't go off on turn one.
Any suggestions on the deck or sideboard?
