This is the deck I'm going to start playing in type one, because it's so much fun. The plan with this deck is to do nothing, eventually locking people out with scepter + chant. It has a really good combo matchup (chant + abeyance), stax matchup (aura of silence + scepter chant + land tax + crucible), and a decent fish matchup (swords scepter, humility, moat). I've been testing it off and on for the last couple of years.
1x Library of Alexandria
2x Maze of Ith
11x Plains
1x Rath's Edge - It kills a bunch of different creatures, and sacrifices your lands for land tax. Also, it goes to the dome for 20 if they seek your belcher or something.
1x Strip Mine
4x Wasteland
2x Abeyance - Another chant effect against combo, it is best used as a way to let your key spells resolve (scepter or crucible, pretty much).
3x Argivian Find - In this deck it's a regrowth for W, that happens to be an instant.
3x Aura of Silence - Although Slower than seal of cleansing, it is important with the LD game plan.
1x Balance - Balance is so nutty in this deck. You don't play out your lands because of land tax, you play 0 creatures, and you can discard your lands then play them later with crucible.
1x Black Lotus
2x Crucible - Crucible brings back wastes
1x Enlightened Tutor
1x Goblin Charbelcher - The 1x win condition is just in hear in case your opponent doesn't scoop. Belcher is the best because your lands go away pretty quickly with land tax, and you can keep bringing it back with arg find. Most of the time, though, your opponent just scoops.
1x Humility - Deals with problem creatures like goblin welder, dark confidant, gorilla shaman, and meddling mage. Also Rath's Edge + Humility is alright.
4x Isochron Scepter
4x Land Tax - Land Tax + Scroll Rack is your card drawing engine. Also if you cast it against stax it's pretty hard to lose.
1x Moat - Fish decks can't actually beat it.
1x Mox Diamond
1x Mox Emerald
1x Mox Jet
1x Mox Pearl
1x Mox Saphire
4x Orim's Chant - Orim's Chant is so good in this deck. It's your soft lock, and it also lets you resolve your key spells.
3x Scroll Rack - Part 2 of your card drawing engine, it also keeps you from decking.
4x Swords

Sideboard:
2x Maze of Ith
2x Abeyance - Board more in against combo and control.
1x Moat
4x Shahrazad - Ok so this card is kinda weird. But here's the idea behind it, since parfait takes so long to win, if you win game one you just board in 4x shahrazad. It's almost impossible for your opponent to beat you multiple games in a row within twenty minutes (on average it takes the deck 30 minutes to win). These just make it so if you win g1 you pretty much win the match.
2x Wrath of God - Against decks with meddling mage you need more than 1 way to kill creatures, and I like wrath more than last breath.
1x Serenity - Since your deck is so relient on artifacts and enchantments you can't run more of these, but against stax if you're in a bad position serenity will get you out of it.
3x Exalted Angel - This card is the opposite of what Shahrazad does. It also happens this deck takes a long time to lose, just because of the amount of cards that slow people down. Exalted Angel lets you win games relatively quickly, and it's also a plus that your opponent will board out all removal g2.

Instead of Spirit of the Night // Akroma, wouldn't you want SSS? Like you'd board out the Tidesprout against decks with StP, right?

The story of why I put this deck together is really long, but pretty much what happened was I was going to go to an extended PTQ in PA. My friend who was supposed to go with me bailed out because of his crazy girlfriend, so I had a free Saturday and I wanted to play magic. Some people I knew were going to a type one tournament at myriad games, so I just took the shell of my extended deck, took out all the really bad cards, and threw some junk I had lying around in it. Whenever I go to type one tournaments I usually just borrow my friend's legacy goblin deck, but he moved out of the state, so I just played this pile. Of course, the tournament went horribly, I went 1-2, but I think the deck has some potential and is a lot of fun to play, so I'm going to bring it to Waterbury and see how it goes. I've made some changes since the myriad games tournament, so this is the current list and an explanation of card choices that I think need an explanation. The point of the deck is to get control of the game and either win with a wished meloku, infinite time walk with witness + walk + waterfront bouncer, or with the singleton morphling in the main deck.
4x Brainstorm
4x Duress
3x Eternal Witness - I think regrowth is restricted, and witness is a regrowth on wheels. If you were to play this deck is would be because of this card.
3x Living Wish - Living Wish acts as disruption (kataki + withered wretch), a win condition (waterfront bouncer + meloku), and gives 2 more copies of eternal witness. It's pretty clunky, but gives you the oppurtunnity to react to a lot of situations.
4x Swords to Plowshares
3x Gifts Ungiven - In this deck Gifts is just a double diabolic tutor that can also set up strip lock, or a late game with witness + genesis.
1x Vindicate - A singleton for gifts splits, lets you answer any threat that isn't that 11/11.
1x Mindtwist
1x Vampiric Tutor
1x Demonic Tutor
1x Seal of Cleansing - Another singleton for gifts splits, lets you kill leylines.
1x Life from the Loam - Life lets you set up a strip lock in the early game, but more importantly is used against Stax and Fish as a way to recover after a bunch of wastelands. Also can fix your mana with fetchlands.
1x Genesis - Gives you inevetability with witness. Not that exciting, but you'd be surprised how many games I won in testing by just running it out there against fish.
1x Cabal Therapy - Usually used to sacrifice genesis, but also can be used to clear forces or drains before casting a gifts or something.
1x Morphling - After you get control of the game you don't want to randomly lose to a swords to plowshares.
1x Tormod's Crypt
1x Pernicious Deed - This card is nutty in type one because everyone that plays type one thinks it's an engineered explosives, so they just play right into it.
1x Recall
1x Time Walk
1x Engineered Explosives
7x Fetchlands
2x Bayou, the 1x of each other corresponding dual
1x of each basic
1x Strip Mine
4x Mox of each corresponding color
1x Mox Diamond - Fixes your mana
1x Black Lotus
SB:
1x Meloku the Clouded Mirror - Meloku can steal a lot of games.
1x Kataki, War's Wage
1x Withered Wretch
1x Gilded Drake
1x Waterfront Bouncer - It's in there so you can go infinite with time walk.
1x Eternal Witness
4x Leyline of the Void - It's good against decks that use their graveyard!
2x Orim's Chant - Bad Combo matchup (this is better than rule of law // arcane lab in type one, right?).
1x Darkblast
2x Serenity // Seeds of Innocence - Not sure which one is better against stax, I think it's serenity because it's easier to cast. Suggestions?
This deck can't lose to fish or any other deck that wins with creatures. It goes 50-50 with control decks, and scoops to combo decks or ichorid game 1. It's pretty neat, though, and it's funny when someone loses to Genesis in type one.
