I tried to pre-reg from the link in the first post, states: "The event is over, you have not been charged."  I'm hoping I haven't missed the boat.  Can anyone confirm/deny that there are still spots to register?

5  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: HOLD THE DATE - June 26th-28th 2015 on: February 03, 2015, 09:34:41 pm

6  Eternal Formats / Western/Pacific U.S. / Re: Old School Magic @ Eudemonia!!! January 11, 2015 on: January 08, 2015, 01:19:04 pm
I'm very envious of all who can attend this gathering (living in Connecticut makes it difficult to attend). Hope to see a tournament report and pictures/deck lists. Also, great idea on collectors edition!

Oh, this has become a priority. However- one thing, and I'm not sure how (if) it will affect everyone- but it's the weekend before SAT's.

Who's in high school anymore?  I thought that was just some fad.  Seriously people, priorities.  Lets support Ray.

Question Ray:  Are you going to have a phantom round 2 that count's 90 minutes towards our chronoligical age and not towards the standings?  Cause if you did, that'd be cool.  And by cool I mean Bush-League.  It's nice to see another one of your tourny's, you truly know how to run a clean ship.  I'll be there.

Hi.  I'm the guy that this dufus tried to screw over with the Vampiric Tutor.  Let me say right here it took every ounce of self restraint not to go across tha table and wring his neck.  This is a game.  There are rules that need to be enforced, but this nickel dime BS is ridiculous!  I was glad to hand him a game loss for this incident, but what he failed to mention was at the time he had roughly 2 - 3 permenants on the board to my 3 moxes, 8 lands, a full hand and active library, had the call not gone my way his time was limited.  People like this are bad.  They are bad at life.  I have zero respect for them.  Here's a free lesson, watch what you do man, life sometimes isn't as forgiving as a game loss.  As a side note, there was no arguing over a buy-back shattering pulse, the only time aside from the tutor incident that a judge was called over was for upkeep stacking order (tangle wire & smokestack) I should have known the rules here and just wanted some clarification.  All in all The tourny had it's drawbacks (the lost round) but it was type one with a bunch of people, type one magic is fun, anytime I can play it I'm a happy person, but people like this can tarnish a good time.  In closing I'd like to say the spirit of the game is more important than the letter.  Thankyou.

true, but they cost around 40-50% more than things on ebay as well- I'd rather take the small risk and get my stuff several hundreds of dollars cheaper

Not to mention avoiding the gaping asshole after Star City rapes you for cards.  Isn't that a felony?  I'm with you guys who avoid online card stores (mainly SCG) like the plague.  Support your local card dealers and don't be stupid on Ebay!!  *4L*

Happily disgruntled,

GREG'S SPORTSCARDS!!!!  Christ!!!!  I used to go there every f-ing day when I worked in Westfield!  I don't know who started this thread but I take it you know Greg!  Tell him Brett said hello from Boston!  Also I can vouge for Greg being a reputable dealer and one hell of a standup guy when he's not saying "fuel" everytime you use a fetch-land!  Anyway I'd love to be at the tourny but alas I live in Boston and that may as well be Sri Lanka.  Send Greg my regards!

Also, maybe a later start time would help attendance?????

17  Eternal Formats / Creative / T1 Northeast Championship should have stayed at 10 proxies on: February 29, 2004, 06:08:36 pm

Hello my name is David Feinstein. I read the mand drain alot and recently started playing type one. I played in my first tourney at Kenny's last week, did decent (top 8) and I was looking forward to more of them. I find out about the t1 northeast championship and it's 10 proxies... the first thing I do is take work off for that day. I was willing to make the 2 hour trip down there, and so were my friends.

Now I'm not going. They aren't going.

Andystok says he wants the largest t1 tourney since 1997.... that's admirable but you sure aren't going to do it by changing the proxies back to 5. I have no idea what he was thinking there, but that definitely alienates the casual players and/or competitive players without any t1 stuff (like myself). The difference between 5 proxies and 10 is everything for players like us. I would have posted this under the t1 tournament forum but im a new poster, so it wont let me. I just wanted to say that I think making it 5 proxies again was a mistake, because you've definitely lost some players and I wouldn't be surprised if you lost a significant number because of the change.

You sir, have earned 16 kl0wn points for 1) quoting Justin Timberlake and 2) quoting Justin Timberlake and implying that somehow his words are in any way immortal in your preface to said quote. You may redeem these 16 kl0wn points for 16 free decapitations in a dark alley or woodland location of your choosing. Hopefully 16 decapitations will be enough to rid the human gene pool of your tainted DNA and the tainted DNA that spawned you so that homo sapiens might continue to evolve. If I were a mod, I would siteban you for this. And may God have mercy on your misguided soul.

Do you have an address?  Since you don't have a job right now you must have a lot of free time, maybe it's time for a road trip??  Okay, I'm not being very sensitive, I'm sorry man, but people that sell fake cards need to be bludgeoned to near death, or at least to the point that they won't be able to identify you   .    Hope it all works out though!

Phyrexian Processor.  I do love this card in a draft environment, BROKEN.
20  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [Deck Article]Reflection Weirding on: February 15, 2004, 01:17:43 pm
Why no Future Sight?  This card compliments Weirding so well!  You are running 18 blue cards, there should be no reason not to include this.  All in all the deck seems pretty cool, Competitive?  I'm not sure.  Do you have any match results?
21  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [Deck] Wizards on: February 13, 2004, 02:03:37 pm
If you want to go wizards you could try running:

Wandering Mage
Ivory Gargoyal
Necropotence/Bargain
Fasting (tech)!

JK!  But this is a really fun deck I throw together at times, very non-competitive.
This deck just doesn't take damage (Wandering Mage throwing counters on the Gargoyal), it skips it's draw due to Necro/Bargain and Gargoyal and gains life for not drawing on the draw step from Fasting!  On a serious note though, this deck can't really compete, but if you're talking about a wizard deck surely you can't be talking about competitive magic.  Just my thoughts.
22  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / U/W Landstill sideboard on: February 13, 2004, 10:16:19 am
This is the side board that Keith Johnson (CTthispian) ran at Waterbury last month, piloting Blue/White Landstill to 5th place out of a field of 190+ skilled players.

3 Blue Elemental Blast
3 Tormod's Crypt
3 Disenchant
3 Energy Flux
3 Chalice of the Void

Keith is a very good player and put a lot of work into this board, it's tailored to the New England Meta (though that will be changing with Darksteel) non-the-less it's a great launching point for you to work with.  For reference his tournement report can be found here:
