"PS. After you use Scion's mana search ability, can you do it again after he becomes that creature. It says he becomes a copy but does he keep the search ability even when he is a copy? Thanks !" At least I can help with the rules question. You can pay 2, then pay 2 again before the ability resolves. Then the first use resolves, you search, discard, then shuffle. The you get a chance to use that dragon's abilities. Then the 2nd search resolves and you search, discard, and shuffle. You can stack as many searches as you want, but you have to decide how many before the first resolves.

having a 15 card or less deck and a 15 card sideboard is pretty dumb. You could bring two different decks (at least) to the table. Maybe SB should be set at 1/4 deck size, max 15?
Also how will the cronotog deck win? counter their kill condition and let them draw to death? You'd have to have perfect knowledge of their deck. I wonder if urza's glasses are good in this format :p

I love doing this kind of stuff. I don't even play magic anymore but I still like helping make decks :p
Anyway, remember if they do a split second kill of VS/Ovi, you still cannot respond even to pay a cost. But it still pretty sweet.
Also take a look at all the Myojins. If they are in your yard when you play VS he gets the divinity counter because you played him from your hand. I think cleansing fire and night's reach would be most useful.
Lastly, take a look at Chronozoa. If the VS takes 3 damage, you can discard Chronozoa, let VS die, and you get two copy tokens of VS, real full copies of the base card. Only problem is they can't go back to your hand, but they can still do a lot of tricks. Maybe it's not worthwhile but it seemed funny.
Also good is Cephalid Inkshrouder for shroud+super evasion in one, I think I'm starting to dig up old ideas from FEB though, not new stuff...

Have you considered Ovinomancer ? It's blinking spirit plus creature removal. Only two possible flaws. 1) its ability requires tapping so can't help 1st turn so that's a big downer, and 2) If there is no other creature on the board I'm not sure if you can use the ability targing VS himself then it is countered but you still pay the cost of returning VS to your hand?
Plus side is returning VS to your hand is a cost so not responable to, and of course turning a fattie into a sheep.

Seems like it's overly complicated counterspell and RFG permanents. With a small chance you'd use it to RFG an instant like Life from the loam. I think I'd like a cheaper activation and the target gains RFG instead of the graveyard. but then it's just weak GY hate... but it'd be good GY hate for blue style.

I like the basic idea, but it currently still doesn't have any situation it's actually useful to cast it. It needs some kind of benifit, like draw a card, or, a more red benifit, do 2 damage to target creature.

@zimagic That's just a more expensive Endless Wispers. His concept isn't as bad as you make it out to be. When you play this you don't want all your creatures to die. It gives every creature a 2nd life as a zombie token. It's not, "lots of zombies appear" it's "uh oh, the undead are comming soon."
@Nydaeli I like the card, but I wish it could be cheaper. Maybe take out the -2/-2 and the death touch, black is good at killing stuff anyway. Then you could put it at like 2BB ?

I like the draw two, it's still simple, but now it's useful too.
It's only one card advantage aginst a conterspell normally, that's a pretty reasonable card. Draw 1 extra card when a spell of yours was countered. But it has other potentially interesting plays as well. With draw two, there would be uses for this card, but it'd be rare. Without draw two, it's completly useless, it's funny, but it could be funny and useful.
And you could always cast a cheap useless spell and counter it for draw two, thus "cycling" the other card for the high price of it's CC+1.

Your right about the 1cc effects. And they are the most iconic effects as well. Ashnod's transmorgrant fits the bill perfectly, so I should probably add in the nonartifact becomes artifact clause as well.
Land wise, there are no "spells" but a land that produces colorless and sacs for an effect is pretty similar. Maybe Wasteland? is that too powerful? Seems good but sometimes it'd be useless. really all the other land powers are pretty green already. like terrimorphic expanse, or add a mana or any color. Although protection from land seems like a pretty lame power... although it'd be unique. :p

I made Sun and Earth stronger, because it seemed weak compared to the already existing swords. I'd really like to hear which of these two people like better, because thematically only one should be used.
Also the two "green" effect could be switched but i didn't want to have two creature effects or two mana effects on the same sword.
Lastly, to Harlequin, I like your ideas but the enchante destruction is something artifacts aren't good at, that sword would be too useful to red and black decks i think. The 2nd idea is interesting but seems weak. I like the brainstorming though.

The train of thought was, green got left out when they made Sword of Fire and Ice and Sword of Light and Shadow. Then I had to figure what could be parred with green, either artifact of multicolored came to mind. Then I needed to find some appropriate small effects. So let me know which you like better.
The inspiring cards for the effects are, Chatter of the Squirril, False Dawn, Lay of the Land, and Energy Chamber
I like Sword of Sun and Earth more just because the name is perfectly awsome.
Sword of Sun and Earth 3 Artifact -- Equipment Equiped creature gets +2/+2 and has protection from green and from multicolored Whenever equiped creature deals combat damage to a player, put a 2/2 green beast creature token into play under your control and until end of turn you can spend any mana as if it were mana of any color. Equip 2 --------------------
Sword of Roots and Gears 3 Artifact -- Equipment Equiped creature gets +2/+2 and has protection from green and from artifacts. This effect does not remove ~This~ Whever equiped creature deals combat damage to a player, search your library for a basic land card, reveal that card, and put it into your hand, then shuffle your library, then add a +1/+1 counter on target creature. Equip 2
Sword of Roots and Gears 3 Artifact -- Equipment Equiped creature gets +2/+2 and has protection from green and artifacts. This effect does not remove ~This~ Whever equiped creature deals combat damage to a player, search your library for a basic land card, reveal that card, and put it into your hand, then shuffle your library, then add a +1/+1 counter on target nonartifact creature. That creature becomes an artifact in addition to it's types. Equip 2
I like the new version because you might be tempted to put a token on an enemy creature so this creature get's protection from it...
