Here is a deck that i want to get some opinions on cause i think if it can speed up or have better options put in i can be good and viable in the new metta. The deck is g/w heavy aggro with some control aspecs and decent sideboard options are open, so here is what i got and the reasoning behind it.
4 Tarmogoyf 4 Swords to Plowshares 3 Skullclamp 1 Sword of Fire and Ice 4 Exalted Angel 4 Seal of Strength 4 Rootmaze 4 Ohran Viper 4 Gaddock Teeg 4 Edge of Autumn 4 Xantid Swarm 4 Riftstone Portal 1 Flagstones of Trokair 1 Mox Pearl 1 Mox Emerald 1 Black Lotus 1 Lotus Petal 4 Windswept Heath 4 Savannah 2 Forest 1 Pains
Ok, now for the reasons behind my dumbness. O and if there is something better that stuff thats in and its a good reason please post
Tarmogoyf is a house and very good i dont think he needs much explination. Swoards to Plowshares is for creature control Skullclamp is for possible draw and creature buffing I only put in 1 sword of fire and ice since skullclamp is better most of the time but i still wanted to have the option to do some damage with xantid swarm without killing them Exalted Angel is for life gain and a good flying beater that comes out soon Seal of Strength because he gives gofy essential +4/+4 and gives other creatures +3/+3 so its seems good Rootmaze to slow people down more than me hopefully but this could be better as a sideboard card Ohran Viper for card draw and creature control(wish he had evasion) Gaddock Teeg to shut of tendrils, empty, x spells, and the gush engine Edge of Autumn to make goyf bigger gets you land if needed and it puts riftstone portal in the yard Xantid Swarm to help out against instants(mainly blue) Flagstones for a Edge of Autumn target and deck thinning

Ok so here is my idea for a semi control aggro deck i like it but it was hard to decide on what to put in and cut i would love suggestions because i would like to play this deck compeditivly eventually
4 Pact of Negation 4 Spell Snare 4 Brainstorm 4 Ponder 1 Chain of Vapor 1 Mystical tutor 1 Ancestral Recall 4 Tarmogoyf 3 Exalted Angel 1 Enlighted Tutor 1 Worldly Tutor 4 Swords to Plowshares 2 Umezawa's Jitte 2 Sword of Fire and Ice 2 Gaddock Teeg 2 Meddling Mage 1 Mana Cypt 1 Mox Sapphire 1 Mox Emerald 1 Mox Pearl 1 Black Lotus 3 Flooded Strand 3 Windswept Heath 2 Tundra 1 Savannah 1 Tropical Island 1 Island 2 Plains 1 Forest 3 Ancient Tomb
Ok now for the explinations of the cards
I chose pact of force because its gets around gaddock teeg but i still need to test if that or force is better spell snare because there is alot of 2 casting cost spells in the format and it also gets around teeg brainstorm, ponder, and ancestral all there for draw chain over echoing truth because chalice at 2 hurts mystical just a good tutor tarmogoyf becuase he is a house i want to run seal of strength with him but couldnt find room exalted angel cause i can flip it up turn 2 and start beating face in and gaining life to make you harder to kill worldly tutor for creatures that i need in the situitation im in enlightened tutor for the equipment and if i can find room for seal of strength that too swords to plowshares to enlimnate any threat permanitly jitte cause its good on creatures swoard of fire and ice card draw and possible creature killing is really good teeg because he shuts down alot of win conditions that isnt creatures and shuts down annoying counters like force or misdirection and shuts down gush meddling mage because shutting down cards is amazing the mana base i just threw together i need a little help with that but i works ok anceint tomb is there for the accel and the damage dont matter to much with the life gain from angel
over all i like it but i think there is some tweeks that it needs to make it flow better and run really smooth before it can be competive.
Oh and just to point it out this deck looks like it gets rolled by blood moon or magus of the moon so if anyone has a way to fix that please tell mean i know there is a way there i just dont see it

The only thing that i question about this list is how do you win? I would also test out more tutors for the reb and add 1 more duress and also see if reb is more efficent than drain.

Before i tryed out the oath sideboard i did used to run all enchanment hate and it was so hard to figure out what to board out and how much of the enchantment hate to bring in and after bringing in 7-9 cards for just leyline i found myself running more colors and it seemed that i never got a chance to cast them cause they we being countered more easy and while digging for them so i could get rid of leyline to win i lose most of my dragons cuase me to slow down alot. Maybe this is just my luck i dunno i just think that oath sideboard has a more consitant chance of winning game 2 if leyline is in play.

Well here is my take on izzet as to go to more control than massive card advanage and have a couple of combos to win the game with
1 Tinker 1 Darksteel collosus 4 Brainstorm 1 Cunning wish 3 Bazaar of Baghdad 4 Fire//Ice 2 Isochron Scepter 4 Merchant Scroll 3 Magus of the Moon 2 Pithing Needle 3 Trinket Mage 4 Izzet Guildmage 2 Reset 1 Mox Sapphire 1 Mox Ruby 1 Black Lotus 1 Sol Ring 3 Polluted Delta 3 Flooded Strand 2 Volcanic Island 4 Island 4 Intuition 4 Force of Will 1 Tolarain Academy 1 Library of Alexandria
Sideboard 4 Leyline of the Void 3 Chalice of the Void 3 Rack and Ruin 2 Stifle 2 Red Elemental Blast 1 Stroke of Genuis

This deck is a start but you need bazaar of baghdad, daze, possibly merchant scroll, brainstorm, wasteland, force of will, cut a wonder, and possible other things. This could could also splash black but that would take a little for thought so i might get back on that part. Also put in 5-7 fetches and 4 trops if you splash black put in some undergrounds. So one else may be able to help you out some more.

With the new up coming lorwyn set i think the duress should be changed to the new thoughseize and after talking to dicemanx some i think the old build with oath sideboard is the strongest build(for now). The only problem i have with the oath build is that its good for stealing that second game and you have to win game one, but if the deck ever runs into main deck leylines for example when i played dredge i can beat it by going off first but if dredge opens up with that turn 0 leyline i have only one and answer and that is to wish for echoing truth. I think that some where main deck there should be a spot opened for 1-2 echoing truth. The reason i choose echoing truth over chain of vapor is the factor of some decks can open up with more than one leyline of the void.
Another thing i want to throw out there is the fact of root maze as it might become popular with the creatures and such coming out in lorwyn. What is the answer to this? Before it went to the oath build i used to run sparkmage appentice as he could beat platuim angel and rootmaze, but with main deck echoing truth the option of bouncing the rootmaze before you go off is also good too. So from what ive played and what could become popular i think one main deck echoing truth seems good not just a clogged up spot(since it also bounces all zobies tokens, posion slivers, and anything else with muiliples).
