hey paul i dont know if this is the one you wanted me to read or not but it seems to be the topic you spoke of i can see what your talking about anyway. I thought gat died? Well i also wanted to say i see the opinions of the other posters aswell you need to remember that this site is for debating which means people will have different opinions and different experiences with the games they play.

what is the best solution for my red shop aggro with a match up against oath.
3  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: Control Slaver on: December 31, 2007, 09:51:39 am
personally i think the crucible and artifact land slots can be switched out for better utility i mean ya it is allways fun to play a game against your self lol but how many times have you really needed to infinatly control your opponents turn with so many artifacts in these lists you will still be pulling off slavers at least 4 to 5 times and that is more than game ending the slots could offer you better control. going to magus of the future how easily have you pulled the thing out? personally i find it very clunky it dose work with drains really well but i think the 4 tfk's and 4 brainstorms + brokeness of slaver allready get you where you need to be but i do find the idea interesting and would love to see it used in a game.

? i think jutun grunt life from the loam and strip mine/wasteland have a very good bond with each other the dridge you do can go back with jutun thats kinda sexy no? throwing cards you reall want back i have been taken by this deck and will play test it with some changes will post results and deck list later

i think the red idea is top here metal worker is too weak in alot of situations where welder can totally break a duplicant or titan totally rapping your opponent metal worker is easy to play around and welder is even more amazing in the mirror (as has been noted below) personally though i like the aggro shop build since im not a big fan of the "stax" part of stax lol i like having a ton of threats with a ton of lock peices ill post my shop affinity aggro deck in the improvement forum sometime soon so check it out and rate it/discuss it with me well ttyl folks  Zelow

I can't stress how amazing Samurai of the Pale Curtain is.  Against the new Affinity/Staff decks, it shuts off their draw engine and recursion tricks, as well as Crucible nonsense.  I bring him in against Shops, Ichorid, Flash, and strange aggro decks that use the Bazaar engine.

lol hi Paul i agree very much so in my match ups against hitman (my shop aggro his bomberman) seemed like game one i had a strong game but after he sided in Pale Curtain it seemed way to hard to keep going once he handled 1 or 2 of my threats (creatures) and dropped Pale Curtain i had no game. Pale Curtain is a complete hoser makes my clamps look like crap.

are these lists sapose to be unpowered? cuz if the turny is 10 proxy why not include the jet and lotus also i think you could be safe running the two angles plus one beefy creature to keep it sixty also i think nights whisper and maybe even skelatal scrying could be nice includes with some testing i love mono B so ill build and test nice list though.

i forgot to add that you would need dryad arbors for intruder alarm witch would a potentail infinint green mana possiblity i think blue insted of white would be better and cut the encantress for blue draw and if its 10 proxy why not just add the moxen lotus recall and time walk i think it could be alot of fun go 2 earth craft and 2 intruder alarm ill try making my list something like this also this is just gonna be off the top of my head   3 forest 4 island 4 tropical island 2 windswept heath 2 polluted delta 2 dryad arbor 4 brainstorm 4 fow 1 recall 5 moxen 1 lotus 1 time walk 2 earth craft 4 squilnest 2 intruder alarm 1 rushing river 2 merchant scrolls 2 misderiction 1 fastbond 2 exploration then 11 other cards man sorry if this list is cracked out i got one heck of a head ach if i come up with a better list ill post it.

Punctuation and appropriate capitalisation are requirements of posting on TMD.

1 do u have a sb? a good card for ur sideboard would be xatid swarm ease up your counterspell match ups. 2 if you were to add blue you have to test it with intruder alarm i dont think switching to ug would be that bad play control combo i think it would be nice to see creatures or squirels taping to hard cast fow but i will try a deck with this combo because i to love this combo i will go ug though and add goyfs Very Happy
10  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: UB Drain control on: December 18, 2007, 09:57:19 am
2 darksteel = bad replace it with better control or draw spells if you run tfks you can allways pitch darksteel to go back into the hand Smile 2 is too much run mind slaver hehe
11  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: The Swamps Win Again! on: December 17, 2007, 12:34:21 pm

12  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: The Swamps Win Again! on: December 17, 2007, 06:33:09 am
yo simiancop (sorry if i spelt that wrong kinda early cant think lol) i like that list but i was wondering it looks like there is quite a bit of colorless mana running around in this deck why not run all the moxen and maybe there is a reason but why dont i see any diabolic eddicts? (inless i missed them lol once again it is early) anywho i am officailly drawn to this deck due to its relitivly inexpensive cards and great playability. ill be testing this one and let you guys know how it goes ill give results and best matchups.
13  Eternal Formats / Creative / guile? good? on: December 14, 2007, 07:57:18 am
how do you make a good monoblue guile deck? this card has really been on my mind and i have been wondering how good it could be? got any deck lists. and how would top counterbalance be in there?
14  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: Counterbalance on: December 10, 2007, 12:33:23 pm
yes i agree top and brainstorm are a must for counterbalance to be even thinkable but what kind of deck build would you use for a u/r fish?
15  Eternal Formats / Creative / Counterbalance on: December 03, 2007, 07:01:15 pm
Hey guys kinda new here and dont know if this topic has allready been brought up or not but ill try anyways lol. I was wondering what your guys opinion would be on the best deck for counterbalance to fit in I really seem to like the card a whole lot. Right now I have a counterbalance deck with bomberman barrings lol as hitman would put it. if you guys have any deck ideas or lists that would be awsome. Oh and one more thing to mention lol I have been out of magic since ravnica so newer cards I dont know so well if I could get help there it would be amazing. Also lol I will post my actual deck list i have the next time I post, I just didnt have it on me at the moment.

Thanks, Keith   Smile
