Comboing without bazaar is always possible, but you need to either :
- already have Oona in the graveyard
- have an instant way to find Oona and discard it, or a way to break the loop and then find Oona and discard it (ie Read the Runes or a non-dragon creature in the yard and a lucky careful study)

And you already have these options when they play needle naming bazaar. Careful study doesn't help much here IMO.
Going the bounce way is often better against needle, because unlike careful study it allows you to both discard dragon and use it during the loop to get your kill.

The Oona kill doesn't need to cast any spell after the first animate.
Animate dragon, make tons of mana then change target for Oona in your last loop, activate ability and win on the next draw step.

Great thread, a strong help to anyone trying the deck.

I played it a little (version with 1 Tendril + 1 Empty and Recoup) and often found that when I combo, I want to win right now, which is done better by your last list with 2 tendrils.
I had only moderate success with it, but I can tell it's definitely because I have to get used to it.
Drain Tendrils surprised me, as I never expected to kill without Will, which happens regularly when you draw enough.

Btw, what do you side out against Long / TPS to get your duresses in with your last list ?

Hello ! new writer here but I read for a long time.

Dragon is indeed something that could work, now that Flash is out.

I agree to the 4 Chain of vapor post-side, the cheapest way to get rid of a tormod / leyline before comboing.
Chalice is very good too, especially at 1, to prevent extirpate and duress effects.
I don't know if Xantid swarm could be more useful, especially if we don't use the Oath sideboard... it seems still good.

About echoing truth, it's useful only to fight against EtW and multiple leyline (which doesn't happen too often, hopefully).
A single one to tutor up should be enough.

And I would play a bounce maindeck. Who knows ? ^^

Considering that moxen are the only way to set EE for more than 1, I would say that drains are easier to replace.

Very nice deck btw, someone already asked about putting wasteland in the deck (didn't see any answer), and I would like to know if it could replace the B2B slots in sideboard. Or maybe even have a few main deck ?
