Quote I defiantly think you need to revisit upping the Gorilla count to 2 main deck.

I personally did not have a problem with only 3 brainstorms, the deck seemed to work fine, although 4 brainstorms is just a proven theory that works, and perhaps that to should be taken into consideration.

I know. I want to fit them in, and as I said, it hurt to cut them, but I havn't found the space yet.

Also, Putting a card on the sb just for its goodness when I can wish --> Scepter it isn't that good IMO. I play 2 Wishes, and it won't happen often enough. I MIGHT play ONE of these slots on my board, but only if I had mad extra room. I'll probably be cutting Mr. Plagebearer soon.

Wow Nick, my Scepter deck is almost identicial with -2 Future Sight +1 Cunning Wish +1 Merchant Scroll -1 Yawgmoth's Will - Demonic Tutor for +1 Balance +1 Enlightened Tutor... scary. SB and Manabase is completely different tho'.

@Future Sight, with Blue Based Control decks running anywhere from 2-4 Stifle MD and SB, Future Sight seems like a 1x at best come Jan 1st. I can't see you laying it down off anything but a Mana Drain.

Nice deck, BTW.

Quote  Fourth Wasteland but no Stifles to help.
In my testing with OSE recently I found that with four wastelands I seem to draw one just a little too often when I wish I had the Stifle or Monkey instead. Obviously this can be very metagame dependant but I would strongly suggest a second Monkey over the fourth Wasteland since your not playing Stifles.

I find that in today's artifact laden environment, the second Monkey is very key. Thanks to Scepter, Fire/Ice is also a more popular card which makes keeping the Monkey in play somewhat problematic. In short, I think you're going to be a lot happier seeing that second Monkey than you are that fifth Strip effect.

Invoked this:

Quote Possibly we could explore a Keeperesque deck with 5 Strips and 4 Stifle sometime.

Could this be viable?

Also, I think a BEB and/or an Island is needed now, with a lot of Blood Moon control popping up. I'll probably cut the Vamp or the Plagebearer.\n\n

I have a U/r Scepter deck posted in the appropriate thread, and I am the #1 supporter of Stifle. It has turned my U/r deck into a Land Destruction/Advantage HOUSE vs various Keeper builds. With 3 MD Stifle and 1 in the SB for C.Wish along with 2 MD Bloodmoons, I feel completely in control of the Mirror. The fact that Stifle is a MD BOMB vs Dragon and does an endless list of other cool stuff is just gravy.

That said, I don't think Keeper (Chronic) has anything to cut for them MD. The one card I miss more than anything is STP, and its becoming very important vs not only Dragon but Mask.
Keeper is probably going to have to live with being out LD by U/r Scepter and Fish so it can have the better game vs Spoils Mask and Workshop Aggro with STP.

I concur that a lone Island would be a smart move considering the future reign of Bloodmoon.

are fire/ice needed with 4 AK 4 brainstorm I suggest adding a swords and cutting 2 fire/ice for impulse or stifle(for opposing scepters).

I personally have not had much success with the scepters with all the scepter hate I try to stay away from them.

I would cut AK's before I ever cut Fire/Ice.

Scepter players are going to have to start cracking down on their builds and begin optimizing hard core come Jan 1st. They are walking into a meta where Null Rod will return to prominance, Stifle is an effective Counter vs a Scepter when it comes into play and pre-existing Artifact Hate is in every ones SB. Pernicious Deed MD in Hulk will also make a comeback undoubtably now that it deals with Scepter.dec and Workshop.dec.

Its going to be VERY interesting to see how Dragon and Scepter hold up to the hate. The meta cards are becoming incredibly flexible for the new environment. Stifle is good vs Dragon/Scepter/Workshop, Artifact Hate is good vs Scepter/Workshop, and Grave Hate is good vs Dragon/Workshop. I think that we are getting to a point where its more important to optimize your Hate than your Main Deck

I'd want to keep AKs since you can draw multiple cards if nothingless if there is a null rod in play

With some testing, Stifle in the board seems pretty weak. I'll probably cut it for a 3rd RnR.

I have always felt that if you are gonna use stifle you generaly want to use 3-4 and one in the board if you use wishes but otherwise 1 stifle doesn't really affect the game much.
