Here's the deck I'm toying with right now.
// Lands 4 Mishra's Workshop 4 Mishra's Factory (4) 1 Strip Mine 4 Wasteland 2 City of Traitors 1 Tolarian Academy 4 Ancient Tomb 2 Rishadan Port
// Creatures 4 Juggernaut 4 Su-Chi 4 Synod Centurion 2 Duplicant 3 Razormane Masticore 2 Karn, Silver Golem 3 Alpha Myr 1 Platinum Angel
// Spells 1 Mana Crypt 4 Trinisphere 1 Mox Emerald 1 Mana Vault 1 Mox Sapphire 1 Black Lotus 1 Sol Ring 1 Mox Pearl 1 Mox Ruby 1 Mox Jet 2 Sword of Fire and Ice
// Sideboard SB: 2 Duplicant SB: 3 Eon Hub SB: 3 Defense Grid SB: 2 Crucible of Worlds SB: 2 Triskelion SB: 2 Jester's Cap SB: 1 Forcefield
The point is basically to kill your opponent before they can really do anything. Unless you have a turn 1 trinisphere, you usually want to drop a creature turn 1 or 2, and if the hand can't play a fattie by turn 2, usually you just ship it back
Choices
Juggs - FAT Su-CHI - MORE FAT Synod Centurion - EVEN MORE FAT
Razormane Masticore - FAT, and great against oath. If you shoot their Akroma or Spirit of the Night, then attack, blocking the razormane will kill their creature too. If they don't block it, and they block another creature, you still dealt them 5 damage. IF you kill their creatures, they will also have to spend an extra turn oathing to refill graveyard.
The card is also very powerful against food chain goblins, as it can ping off any goblin a turn, and block piledrivers and survive. Very Very Very strong card in general.
Duplicant - 2 maindeck as they are very strong, and are useful against most decks, ESPECIALLY oath. I've seen lots of oath in our metagame, and thats why i'm hating it soooooo much. 2 more in the board to compliment the oath matchup
Karn - Blows shit up...and FAT Alpha Myr - I know, I know, there are 2 reasons i'm playing these guys
1) Quick beats, and almost a guaranteed first turn drop as any land + mox, or city of traitors, ancient tomb, or shop will cast it on its own. SOOO easy to drop first turn
2) I needed another quick beater, and almost everything in the deck that can be foil is foil. I had 3 open spots for beaters, and conveniently had 3 foil alpha myr.
Sword of fire and ice - Card advantage, burn, +2/+2, this card is sooo strong. Also protects my creatures from burn, bouncing, and welding.
Trinisphere - Anyone who decides to ask WHY is probably already wearing a dunce cap as we speak.
Platinum Angel - GOOOOOD card, and its foil, of course
SB CHOICES
Duplicant - to compliment the other 2 Triskelion - Anti welders, and other weenies Eon Hub - Good against STAX, Oath, and Energy Flux Defense Grid - Good against any control deck Jester's Cap - Good against Oath, Combo, and others Crucible of Worlds - Good against landstill, and any other decks where land recursion is strong against them or necessary to survive
and last
Forcefield - This is against Razvan, Mattuizo, and any other guys who might be smashing with creatures that are very very big and casted with workshops
Oh yeah, and like most of my deck, its good against oath
I have been testing this extensively over MWS, and it has been doing extremely well. I haven't lost very many matches, and I will start posting what I play, and the game score.
SO FAR:
Meandeck Oath (uses akroma and spirit of the night )- 8-3 Oath with colossus ( 2-1 ) THANK GOD FOR DUPLICANTS Sneak attack...SADLY....1-2 Some guy piloting Lam Phan's Deck - 2-1 Control Slaver - 3-4 STAX - 2-1 U/G/R fish 1-2 Belcher - 2-1 TPS - 0-2 Doomsday - 1-2 4cC - 2-1 (once again, duplicant took the win here, eating an angel) 5c Dragon - 2-0, on a side note, played a very nice guy on MWS, an old TMD user, and I believe fellow Canadian, goes by the name MarkPharoah
I will keep updating this as testing goes on. I will also be posting a report for this whenever I can find a tournament to play in.
If anyone has suggestions or would like to help test the deck, add me to MSN or PM me
