Dimir Cutpurse
1UB
Creature - Spirit
Whenever Dimir Cutpurse deals combat damage to a player, that player discards a card and you draw a card.
2/2

Phid gets discard thrown in and is a faster clock. Whilst it is a touch risky to make an opponent discard, isn't this a solid creature?

This is clearly an improvement on Shadowmage Infiltraitor.  He will definately see Standard Constructed play.

How is this better than finkel? He has three toughness and fear. This card is nowhere near as good.

Because of the disruption and the added toughness, this card can fill out a stronger role in a more aggro type of standard deck, whereas Finkle is almost purely a control card.

Bastard son of Phid and Hyppie.

Still creatures that cost more than 2 have gone out of vogue (at least casting them has). Probably the biggest downside for this guy is that for the same cost you can get a Tog.

Oh, woe the days when discard was good! Wait a moment... isn't it still? Providing a non-random discard outlet isn't so bad when you get to draw an extra card to deal with it. Unless you hit a Madness player with this guy, he is +2 CA (except for the first hit, where he makes up for himself). That is strong. I fully agree that this is at least a solid, if not very good creature.

Nooooooooo. The Dandan version would be

Dimir Cutpurse
1UB
Creature - Penguin
Whenever Dimir Cutpurse deals combat damage to a player, you may draw a card.
Whenever Dimir Cutpurse deals combat damage to a creature, that creature's controller discards a card.
Pack 2 Fear
2/2
