Here it comes bitches' bow down.

Hooked up in our (Mykeatog + Hulk3Rules) living room...

NES (TOP LOADER), SNES (w/game boy adapter), N64 (expansion pack), Gamecube, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, XBOX, and PS2.

Sitting on the sidelines set up in museum like fashion...
1 Gamecube, 2 Playstations, 1 SNES, 1 Atari 2600, 1 Old School game Boy, 1 Game Boy Pocket, 1 Game Boy Advance, 1 Sega Game Gear and...

1 (never played) NES still in original box in Near Mint condition.

Other awesomities include..

Several NES games NOT manufactured by Nintendo Co.
2 Wireless ATARI 2600 controllers.
Everything that came in the 'Ocarina of Time' Pre-Order Bag
Limited version of the Original Zelda Game.
Every Mortal Kombat Game Ever.

And...

I have every game mentioned in this thread (except shitty-ass street fighter games).

There are many things I am still missing, and I would love to get, if you have any vintage video game stuff I am looking to buy it. I love video games. I love vintage.

NES for all the Marios and the first Zelda.

Original Game Boy, for Tetris, Dr. Mario, the first Zelda and some other cool stuff. And Pokemon Ruby / Sapphire.

SNES for Zelda, Super Soccer (great fun!) and Mario Kart.

N64 for both Zelda (Majora sucked :<), Mario Kart, Mario Golf and Pokemon Colosseum. Some others I don't play much.

Game Cube for Zelda, Mario Kart, Pokemon. I'm currently on Metroid Prime Echoes.

<3 Zelda, Mario and Pokemons Very Happy

- A good PC. I use it for Apprentice, BattleTech related games like the MechWarrior series (and MechCommander), and the Myst saga (just finished Myst 4 Revelation last week...best game ever).

- An XBOX which I use mostly for MechAssault, Halo 1 and 2, GTA Vice City, Tony Hawk games, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Splinter Cell 1 and 2.

- An Atari Lynx (yeah, go look that one up) which I use solely for Shanghai (a Mahjong game) and nostalgia, come to think of it.

- A pair of Commodore Amiga's (a 500 and a 1200 with hard disk) which I use for Lemmings, Shadow of the Beast (but mostly ProTracker ;-)

For the record, I will state that I think playing games on a PC sucks. The only games worth playing on a PC are Half-Life, Half-Life:CS, and the rest of that family. Half-Life (nonCS) is the best multiplayer game of all time for a PC. Playing Magic on your PC is for sissies; just play in real life.

Consoles I own include the following:
PS2 - for Madden 2004/2005, and a host of other average games
N64 - for Goldeneye, the best console game of all time
SNES - for MortalKombat 2, and SuperMarioKart (battle only thx)

I own a PC for CS, HL2 & CS:S, and FFXI.

I own a 2 Playstation2s for FFXI and any other game that looks good: the FF series, Tony Hawk, Need for Speed, Mortal Kombat, etc.  One in the living room, and one in my bedroom.  I would consider PS2 my main console, since if I have a choice of consoles when a game is released, I will get it on PS2.

I own 2 GameCubes for party games like Super Smash Bros Melee, Mario Kart Double Dash, Mario Party, and certain franchise specific games like the Resident Evil series.  One in the living room, and one in my bedroom.

I own an Xbox strictly for Knights of the Old Republic I & II, and I picked up Fable as well.

I own a GBA:SP for RPGs to play on busses and in downtime in places where I cant play a console.

I own an NES for nostalgia, and have a small collection of RPGs that I played so much in my earlier days.

My collection isn't quite as pimp as Mykeatogs, but I like to think its fairly impressive.  I also make it a point not to keep clutter around that I don't play; everything I have sees frequent use.

As a side note, I don't think first person games belong on a console.  Halo is the frowns.

OK, this is a mad old bump, but I bought a Dreamcast back in December to play the Sakura Taisen games, and since I'm probably going to finally end up finishing beating all of them in the next week or so, what other good, cheap games are there to pick up?  I already have Soul Calibur (it came with the system), and imports are fine provided that the Japanese isn't too complicated or a translation is available.

IKARUGA

Oh man that game is amazing. Even maddox gave it a thumbs up so you know it's true.

As an add-on to this post, I just recently purchased an SNES with the following games:

Street Fighter 2 (the very first one where there are only 8 characters)
Mario Kart
Earthworm Jim
Super Mario World

Also goes with an earlier puchase of the SNES game Arcana (old schooool!)

I own a PC (duh) which I recently upgraded so I can run certain programs that demand a lot more memory and processor capacity. Try running Viz or Revit in smaller capacity pc's and it dowrignt sucks. This is the main computer I use for either work or PC games.

Then I've got my PS2, which besides being an awesome videogame console is also a dvd player, like someone mentioned.

And my latest acquisition is....
...

a compaq presario with monitor included, a 486dx2 66mhz with a cd-rom drive and amazing 16 meg ram! Why did I bought this "bomb"? Simple... I wanted to have a PC to play certain abandonware games that would take a lot of work to run with no problems in a current PC: Monkey Island 1 & 2, Day of the Tentacle, Gobliiins, Alone in the Dark 1-3, UFO... you get the picture!

I had a Sega Mega Drive and a Commodore Amiga 500 a long time ago. I sold those many years ago when I bought a PC and then a PSX. When I want to play NES, SNES, Mega Drive or Commodore Amiga I usually have emulators for those.

Next? Perhaps a Nintendo DS, unless the PSP proves to have better games...

IKARUGA - I played this on a friend's Dreamcast. Awesome game with beautiful graphics and very original gameplay. I loved the game! Did you know that the game that comes before Ikaruga is Radiant Silvergun? Radiant Silvergun only came out for Saturn and Arcade... the game is considered the BEST shoot em'up EVER MADE! It's also pretty rare and a copy of the game for the Sega Saturn can fetch something between $100-$150

For good DC games.

RPG: Skies of Arcadia, Grandia 2
Adventure: Rayman 2, JET GRIND RADIO
Racing: Test Drive Le Mans
Shooters: Ikaruga, Mars Matrix
Fighting: 3rd Strike, MvC2, Tech Romancer (Awesome mecha fighting)
Beat em up's: Berserk
Sports: Virtua Tennis
Weirdness: Chu Chu Rocket, Crazy Taxi, Bomberman Online, Worms Armageddon, Toy Commander, Pop N Music, (god does this sound weird) Princess Maker.

I think that covers most of the good ones, oh and Shenmue if you never played it. It's decent to be honest.

Radiant Silvergun generally holds the title of 'Best ship shooter EVER.' by hardcore players, followed by Ikaruga and usually something from the Gradius series.

Radiant Silvergun comes from Treasure, which also made Gunstar Heroes for Saturn. Both games are very well acclaimed along with the one JP has mentioned for the Megadrive.

I remember quite well Gunstar Heroes. Although I've never played it I've seen it running. Beautiful graphics... Using anime-like graphics with games in 2D. LOVE IT!

What has happened to Treasure?

Just recently (within the last month) Sega announced that Treasure will be making a Gunstar Heroes sequel for GBA, so I'd assume that they're still alive and kicking.

Just the stuff I actually play.

NES for Punch-out, River City Ransom, Friday the 13th, Dragon Warrior Series and many others.
SNES for Tetris Attack, FFII, FFIII, Sim City and TMNT Tournament Fighters.
Sega Saturn for House of the Dead Import, as well as some excellent import fighting games (still need to finish Shining the Holy Arc).
DC sadly, a multiplayer system that I only use for Rampage World Tour and Gauntlet legends.  Tons of great fighting games that I don't have competiton for anymore.
GC for Donkey Konga 1&2, Double Dash, SC2 import and the Game Boy Player.  MP2:Echoes is freaking terrible.
Game boy advance/player.  Oracle of Ages/Seasons freaking amazing games.  The Metroid games were also excellent.  Some of the best games in the last 5 years.
PS2 for Tekken, Soul Calibur 2 and Taiko Drum Master.
PC for MWS

I have a retarded amount of fighting games, but I'm at a point where I have no competition anymore.  My friends who play live to far away and they don't practice.  The arcade scene is dead as well.  ::Sigh::

PC for whatever game I happen to be playing at the moment.  Right now I guess it would be Vampire Bloodlines, or KOTOR2, but I've passed both.

PS2 for sports games, Final Fantasy and God of War.

Nintendo/Sega Genesis/Gameboy for when I was younger.

SNES for Super Mario RPG, FFII, Zelda A link to the Past, Contra III, Bust a Move

PSX: FFVII, Tekken, Star Ocean: The Second Story, Grandia, FF Tactics

PS2 for Tekken 5, Dynasty Warriors, GTA III/Vice City/San Andreas, DOA2, DDRMAX, Capcom vs. SNK II, SSX

NES, SNES, and Gamebody.  The Legend of Zelda series is amazing.  and so are the final fantasy games.  I considered buying some newer systems to play some of the newer Final Fantasy games, but I heard that leads to failing out of school in many people, so I never did.
