Negator - because it is what Black is all about

Mindless Automaton - because it has the artwork that Triskelion always wanted, it is a card that most people don't play, smashing face with a 9/9 beastie feels good, it draws you cards (occasionally). Note that this card combos nicely with Madness, Threshold, Squee, smashing face, Welder and is especially good in decks with lots of bad cards (i.e. casual) as you can trade them in for other cards

Finally, another example of what Black is all about

Note that this card is so cool that it combos with both of the above cards. Horror is Squee for people with style (as opposed to those who just want to win). Friggin awesome sauce all over that artwork. What is it doing? Who knows but I'm pretty sure it isn't pleasant. How many nanoseconds did they take to decide which colour this belonged to?

Eladamri's Vineyard:

I've killed at least 15 people with mana burn from this card.  Best way to win ever.

Lim-Dûl's Paladin definitely for me. One day, I stumbled upon Lim-Dûl's Pals, the one and only Lim-Dûl's Paladin fan club, on the mailing list MTG-L... back in the day. I immediately fell in love with the card. I love the artwork, I love the ability, and I love the fact that it is a solid but thoroughly underplayed card. I never had him in a real deck, strangely enough (except for my T4 stack), but I love the look of the thing on a binder page. Plus, it's one of the cards with the longest text box ever.

Time walk was definitely my favorite card when I started playing Magic.

I remember back in 94 I was in eight grade and my uncle cousins boyfriend had all the cards you could ever want to play with. Eventually they got seriously and he let me "HAVE" his collection so they could move in together.

Not knowing anything about card values this dude gave me 4-5 large boxes full of cards. The first blue card I saw in one of the boxes was a beta Time Walk. I didn't know how to play U at all in Magic, Heck I liked green best because I could just play huge creatures and attack. I was still mystified by the color of the card and the fact that you could get an extra turn from it.

I always loved the skeleton dudes walking down the pathway in the photo, it's so eerie and perfect for what the card does.

About a year later I sold all the collection for 300$ which included two lotus, 3 moxen, a time walk, and a few mana drains.

I had to buy all those cards over again when I got into Vintage.

Fuck.

Definately gonna have to go with Food Chain.  After thinking about it, nothing soo simple should ever have gotten so ridiculous.

As i posted earlier my favorite card of all time is Elves of the deep shadow.

http://www.wizards.com/magic/autocard.asp?name=Elves%20of%20Deep%20Shadow#

As you can see it was a beautiful card and really dark.

Now Ravnica comes with a new (common one).

http://gatherer.wizards.com/gathererlookup.asp?name=Elves%20of%20Deep%20Shadow#

See the difference as i cannot watch this card for it has no appeal to me whatsoever. How could they do this to me?

'Tis a shame. The original was hot: in a gothy, low-self esteem way. Wink

The new Elves look like shit and that flavor text is ass too. Sad

What a waste...

My favorite card:

Why? I love Amy Weber and he's freaking awesome. Flying, Trample, and self-bounce all for a reasonable cost and a fat body. Rockin'! Smile

Beware the dangers of talking about hot chics then continuing about hippos. If the reader has a dirty mind (as I suspect more than a few here have) then your comments about Amy and the hippo can be construed in an altogether different light.

Then later I will leave the chair disguise on your doorstep and you will realize what has happened and you will be afraid all the time. Helter Skelter mother fuckers!

yeah, she will sign cards.  I have her email, if you would like it feel free to PM me.  I will assume you were talking about the artist; however if you have the model Amy Weber's email I would gladly trade you. Razz

[card]Dragon Whelp[/card]

First off, the art is awesome.  Back in the day when I was like 5, this little dragon kicked my ass repeatedly, and in turn kicked ass on my side of the table, I've always loved fireball effects, and this guy was able to be a walking fireball.
