I am pleased to announce that Hidden Gibbons: Magic & More will be hosting a non-sanctioned T1 event for an Unlimited Ancestral Recall (prize guaranteed and valued at approximately $400).

For Americans going over there, be sure to bring your birth certificate, as they tend to want 2 pieces of ID these days.  If you have a passport, take it.  It is not mandatory, but it can often make your life a little easier getting back into the country.

As for the border guards, Be sure to figure out how to explain what youre going to be doing without making it sound like gambling.  They might get a little upset if they think you're coming over to play poker or something.  Keep it simple, but don't lie either.

For the guards, just have the address and tell them that it is a magic tourney, if they ask "whats that"', tell them it is like Pokemon or Yugioh, i know it sounds silly but it will get you across with out a problem, plus it will get you some laughs! :lol:

Id say even better than telling them about Yu Gi Oh get all excited and show him your Black Lotus and tell him about your Goblin Welder deck.  Totally act like someone who doesn't play magic would stereotype you as and you'll get across that border quite easily.

Whatever.  Getting INTO Canada is easy.  They're alot more chill up there.  It's getting back into the states that's the tricky part.  They always want to rifle through your trunk and stuff to make sure you don't have more than the permitted two kilos of Northern Lights.  And then they always got to test it out, because they don't want anyone sneaking some schwag into the US.
