Blurb: Today’s So Many Insane Plays is a step away from the normal Menendian fare. Instead of exhaustive Vintage analysis and intricate play-by-play breakdowns, Stephen turns his powerful brain to the very building blocks of our thinking process itself. By looking at why our minds behave as they do, we can begin to see where our failings may be in our Magic play. Beware… this is not for the fair of heart!

Good article, and a nice introduction to our thinking process.

I liked this one:

I imagine the components of Magic can be represented in a way similar to the above image as well. And, like the corporation with its focus (improperly) divided on different parts of its supply chain delays, we Magic players must divide our focus on the various components of our game. Are there any parts of Magic you think is very important but most players don't focus enough on? And conversely, do you think we place too much importance on certain parts of our gameplay?

Great reply.   I definitely think so.  People put so much emphasis on tweaking and tuning and not nearly enough emphasis on identifying mistakes and tightening up their play skill.
