so... pending my own sanity i will be there playing cats.  i might play floral spuzzem... if floral spuzzem lets me.  Its up to floral spuzzem if floral spuzzem lets me play it.

Vintage Cats is the breakout deck of 2009, meticulously designed and perfected by professional Magic: The Gathering player Matt "Doobs" Rabie.  After Placing 2nd in an 11 man vintage tournament in 2003, the deck went into hibernation for several years only to return triumphant with this revolutionary cat from the new M10 core set.

Take a Look at this bomb:

Silvercoat Lion                  1W

Creature — Cat

Vintage will never be the same again.

Three mana 5/4's seem a little better than two mana 2/2's.  Still, Thoctar is a beast, not a cat.  Definitely makes him unplayable.

I have also picked up a prize for our lucky 9th place finisher - a playset of Floral Spuzzem's.  Jimmy, if you win the Spuzzems at least you'll be able to ask them in person if they'll let you attack.  Or play them.

tell ya what, I got the ok from a Floral Spuzzem that i know to go ahead and do this.  ::CLEARS THROAT::

I will personally sign the floral spuzzems just so people will be able to be like "hot damn a playset of floral spuzzems signed by none other than James Hangley!!!"   This sounds like a plan!!

So everyone come on down and take 9th and get these hard to find gems that people will be talking about for hours if not days to come.

Less than a week to go and things look stellar.  We should have quite the crowd on Saturday.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone then!

I would love you to run this every month. I will try my best to be there, probably dragging along Folinus and maybe AJ if hes interested.

Not sure if i can go. If I have the day off I will be there.

I think I'll be able to make this! CAN'T WAIT!!!

I really wanted to make this, but its not looking good.  Most of my PA Vintage guys are going to some obscure event called "US Nationals" which apparently is this weekend.  I guess they're like, good at this game, or something.  Maybe it will eventually wear off on me, but I doubt it.  3 hours each way isn't really a bad drive, but not very cost-effective if I'm by myself, seeing as AJ will just smash me in the Swiss again.

If you are able to make this a recurring thing, I'll make sure I come to the next one... it would be awesome to have two recurring Vintage events to attend.

You two are a comedy act.

After the attendance breaks 25 additional support will end up going to the bottom end of the top 8.  I hope to be handing back at least the entry fee's worth in prize to the 5th-8th places, with 3rd and 4th getting a bump up as well.

I picked up the Mox last week and it's in pretty good shape.  The front is nice and minty and the back isn't terribly played.  The Drain isn't half bad either.

If we have enough people to make this a consistent thing I'd like to regularly give out Delta's or FoW's to the bottom end of top 8.  If anybody has anything in particular that they'd rather, let me know what you'd like and I'll consider it.

I've been asked about deck registration sheets - they will be in use for the event.

I've also been asked about GamingEtc proxies.  As long as the sleeves are colored and the proxies aren't easily identifiable they will be accepted as well.

Match result slips will not be in use for this event.  They may be used in the future depending on the number of people we get as regular attendees.

Thank you to everyone who came out to this event.  I had a great time and I hope that everyone who came did as well.

The T/O tournament report is up.
