This deck tries to be similar to a 9 sphere mud deck but it runs blue and uses Rhystic Study as an additional  "Sphere" or for card advantage. I've always seen potential in Rhystic Study to make a deck like this.
Lands (20):
1 Tolarian Academy
4 Ancient Tomb
4 Mishra's Workshop
4 Seat of the Synod
2 City of Traitors
3 Island
1 Strip Mine
1 Wasteland

Creatures (17):
2 Master of Etherium
1 Karn, Silver Golem
4 Lodestone Golem
1 Sharuum the Hegemon (run for multiple graveyard recursion via Transmuter)
1 Inkwell Leviathan
2 Master Transmuter
2 Metalworker
4 Etherium Sculptor  (cost reduction, could be cut down)

Other Spells (23):
1 Trinisphere
2 Fabricate (great tutor that helps transmuter)
1 Gilded Lotus (to help pay for those increasingly expensive Rhystic Studys)
1 Crucible of Worlds (to recur City of Traitors, Strip, or Waste mainly)
1 In the Eye of Chaos ( to deal with countermagic and instant speed artifact destruction)
4 Sphere of Resistance
1 Tinker
1 Sol Ring
4 Rhystic Study
5 SoloMox
1 Black Lotus
1 Lotus Petal

Things I've Considered:
Sen Triplets over In the Eye of Chaos in order to improve the workshop mirror and still fight control. Can easily be put into play by Master Transmuter.
Mycosynth Golem only to decrease artifact costs as a 1 of as I'm playing seat of the synod and other cheap artifacts. Seemed win more.

What do you think? Any potential for BlueSphere and even any potential for Rhystic Study?

Well whats more important drawing cards or making them pay 1 more mana per spell? I don't think giving your opponent the choice is a good idea so I would probably replace Rhystic Study with either Mystic Remora or Thorn of Amethyst. I would also probably cut Inkwell (since you already have Sharuum as the big Tinker guy) and Karn (since most of your artifacts already beat) for 2xMaster of Etherium. I suggest trying to take a more Workshop Aggro approach since blue has some really nice recent beatsticks and Crucible/In the Eye of Chaos/Gilded Lotus/Fabricate seem worse than a playset of Tangle Wires. Also Master Transmuter seems to be better than Metalworker since it can put stuff like Sharuum in uncounterable and even ups the blue count if you want to add in FoW. I've always wondered why blue shop decks aren't more popular. Smile

Mickey Mouse is on a Magic card.  Your argument is invalid.

Ok, I made the cuts you suggested and was able to fit in FoW as well as 4 Remoras because this deck wants to draw cards. Still needs testing.
Here's what the deck looks like now:

Lands: 20
1 Tolarian Academy
4 Ancient Tomb
4 Mishra's Workshop
4 Seat of the Synod
4 Island
1 Strip Mine
2 Wasteland

Creatures: 17
4 Master of Etherium
4 Lodestone Golem
1 Sharuum the Hegemon
4 Master Transmuter
3 Etherium Sculptor
1 Sharding Sphinx (which actually looks like it could be pretty good here, still needs testing though)

Other Spells: 23
1 Trinisphere
1 Crucible of Worlds
4 Sphere of Resistance
1 Tinker
1 Sol Ring
5 SoloMox
1 Black Lotus
1 Lotus Petal
4 Force of Will
4 Mystic Remora

With all those creatures in your deck, why not run Thorn over Sphere? Your guys should be large enough to win against opposing creatures I guess.

That makes sense, I'll test it.

Oh, and how has Master Transmuter been? With just the Sphinx and Sharuum to put into play (most of the other things are just as easily castable) it doesn't seem that strong in this deck. You might try Tangle Wire to prevent your opponent from doing anything while you beat him down with Master/Golem.

Your thread got me thinking. I brewed and decided to test the following list. I haven't had a lot of time to brew so it may be a little rough.

Creatures (12)
4 master of etherium
4 lodestone golem
2 karn
1 triskelion
1 sundering titan

Other (21)
4 thorn of amethyst
4 tangle wire
4 chalice of the void
3 crucible of worlds
3 mindlock orb
1 trinisphere
1 tinker
1 ancestral recall

Mana Sources (27)
4 mishra’s workshop
4 seat of the synod
3 island
3 ancient tomb
4 wasteland
1 strip mine
1 tolarian academy
5 moxen
1 black lous
1 sol ring

I wanted to take an approach more in line with Stax rather than Shop Aggro. I removed Force of Will, but they would probably be sideboard cards 1-4. I removed the transmuter package in favor of more lock components. There is a pretty solid mana denial package in recurring wasteland/strip mine and sundering titan as a tinker target. I also added mindlock orb, primarily for testing purposes. It seems good in theory, but how many times has that statement led to trouble. I don't want to go into too much depth on the choices but would love to hear feedback. I'm going to try to do some testing this week and maybe post some of my observations. The big question in my mind is whether this list, or your list, is better than MUD or Red Stax or 5C Stax. And as a corollary, why or why not.
