Another great tournament in Richmond!  These are always a ton of fun and I'm happy to be able to announce it.

Richmond Comix
14249 Midlothian Turnpike
Midlothian, VA 23113
(804)594-2845
richmix@richmondcomix.com

Registration starts at 10 a.m.
Tournament starts at noon

Entry is $25

15 proxies available

First place is an Imperial Seal, pack fresh!  According to the tournament organizer it is a "Japanese Imperial Seal that looks absolutely perfect. It was taken out of a pack and put directly into a sleeve."  Only 12 people are needed to guarantee the Seal.  Beyond 12 people, packs will be handed out to other finishes.

I'll post more information as I get it.

LET'S DO THIS

Edit:  I should point out that we often go to Capital Ale House for dinner after these events.  Here is their current, 21-page beer menu: http://www.capitalalehouse.com/documents/midlothianbeermenu.pdf

Please do!  Let me know if there's anything that can be done to facilitate more people coming to these tournaments.

Im definately looking forward to this. Of all the tournaments I go to this is without a doubt the most fun for a variety of reasons.

1. Tommy is a great host. He has a habit of giving out free stuff (promo cards, playmats etc) at his events, nice touch
2. The people who show up have by and large been very cool. If youre new to Vintage this is a great environment because you can relax a little, talk to your neighbor and opponent while you play. If you happen to battle Eric, be ready to do shots after the match.
3. Capital Ale House. If you even remotely enjoy beer, you cant miss this place. For starters there is a separate beer menu tucked inside your normal food menu. This menu is updated weekly with 100s of beers from around the world. Each beer listed has a lengthy description talking about the style, the taste, origin and ABV. To top it off the food is quite good as well.

Edit: nevermind Loch posted the beer menu ... yea its that good

James Hangley and I only go to places with 10 page beer menus. Seeing as how this one exceeds the normal limit by 11 pages I will attempt to make this.

Just to bump this back to the top with a couple weeks to go...

Vintage has had quite a blossoming interest in Northern Virginia over the past few weeks, so I'm anticipating a strong turnout from the DC area.  Let us know if you're coming through!  Should be a little like this:

capital ale house is ridiculous, but richmond is far away.  also there's some PTQ in NJ the same day.  To get paid, or not to get paid...

Recently learned that Vintage Champ 2008 Paul "Sculptini" Mastriano will be moving to Northern Virginia.  Perhaps he will join us?

I am SO looking forward to this. Hopefully I will be able to play but even if I can't it'll be a good time.

Aww. next time you do one of these, Let me know. I'm a kitchen manager at that Capital Ale House, and if I know you're coming I'll totally whip up some fancy food items fit for a gamer.

For example, here's a special I ran last week: A burger topped with cheddar, a fried egg, and bacon served between two pieces of French Toast with a maple cream spread. Orgasm.
