More FREEbie goodness for 2011.

Memories!  Good times.  Many beats.

A nice complement to Matt Elias' Q4 Article, and a quick stroll down memory lane!

This was written to be a fun, quick read!

Enjoy!

Cannot wait to read this, thanks!

Vintage is a lovely format, it's too bad so few people can play because the supply of power is so small.

Chess really changed when they decided to stop making Queens and Bishops.  I'm just glad I got my copies before the prices went crazy.

I did read it shortly after my earlier post, thanks for writing.  Here are some collected thoughts:
Quote
This Leyline (Sanctity) also gave Dredge decks a solution to Tormod’s Crypt, Nihil Spellbomb, and Tendrils of Agony.
Nihil Spellbomb was printed in Scars, after M11, but obviously the intent is understood.  A slightly more chronologically correct reference may have been Ravenous Trap.

I also expected you to editorialize a bit more than you did (which I felt you did do in the 2008 year in review for instance, though one must note that the 2008 review was commissioned for wizards own site).  I thought it would be appropriate for you to give your opinion on the "Preordain warning", not just record that it happened.  Similarly I was expecting a comment on the effect Gush's unrestriction has had on the meta, how you see the meta settling down, as well as what that unrestriction may signal in terms of DCI policy (in that it was a slightly dangerous and experimental unrestriction).

By design.   I wanted to give folks a fun, brisk read that could be digested in a few minutes.   Not everyone enjoys analysis or intellectual introspection.  Just the facts son, just the facts.   Seriously though, I tried to capture the year as it was in a shorter, but fun stroll down memory lane.   I thunk history teaches, and since this is free there is no reason not to read it!!
