MTG Collection for sale

If anyone is interested, I'm selling my collection.  I have near 800 rare/uncommon card names and 1900+ cards (some sets of 4, etc.).  I did an ebay search on every card and took the low-mid price, not including shipping costs.  I went closer to mid for P9, duals, etc.  The posting is here:

I have an excel sheet inventory of all cards by price, name, expansion, condition (I graded as best I could, but am not a pro at this), color, and quantity.  Almost all cards are English and most in NM/Ex as I bought them and sleeved them.  Only a handful have been played in sleeves at a tourney.  Just to warn, the cards that cost $1.50 or more each are up to $12,700 minimum.  Somebody with time on their hands could sell at a mid+ price with shipping on ebay for $15,000+ for sure.  I just don't want to invest the time.  I'm throwing in all my $1 rares, commons, and extra trade cards for free (probably an extra $700+).  Let me know if you are interested via PM.

The set includes the P9, all the duals and fetches, tabernacle, bazaar, library, time vault, mana crypt, 4 drain and force, etc.  I don't have time to list them all here, but if you want the spreadsheet you are welcome too it.  It's a collection that has been build up over 15 years from Unlimited to New Phyrexia.  I recently bought a bunch of New Phyrexia cards too and didn't even list them, but I'll throw them in for free too.

I wish you luck selling your collection.  As someone who has more cards than I know what to do with, I've struggled with how to sell the majority of my cards or excess cards for years.

If your cards are worth $15,000 at low-ebay average prices, I think getting someone to pay $13,000 for all of them, even with the $1 rares thrown in, is unrealistic.

It will take you much more than "a little bit of time" to list all of that stuff, and after fees even if it sold for 15K that person would be about breaking even.  Realistically, I think you'd get around 10K if someone bought the entire thing and was willing to do the work themselves.

Haven't played with them in 2 years.  I just MWS now.  Nobody to play with here.  T2/Legacy only...kinda makes the black lotus in my binder useless.  I have no interest in anything but Vintage.  I tried to get Vintage going in my local shop....then it closed down due to the economy.  The only shop close to me has 0 vintage players and nobody shows any interest.  Add that on to a wife, 2 kids, and a busy job and I have zero incentive to hang on to them.  It's basically the same as keeping X 1000s of dollars under my mattress at this point.

I've actually always considered eternal staples to be good investment pieces. I have to imagine that in the past two years that they've appreciated at a greater rate than your average stock or interest it would accrue in a bank account.

Certainly.  I probably spent $6000 or so over the years on my entire collection...15 years, but buying most of the power and duals in 2002.
