Thanks for the great tournament as always.  It was bittersweet for me since it's my last tournament in Ohio.

Baleful Strix for the win Smile

Baleful Strix looked cool when it was previwed in Planechase. Is it actually good though?

Also, could this work with Gush?

@ Stephen.
After playing it do you feel that 2 welders is the right call? Do you think any other fatty could work better then BSC?

BSC is essential.   Read my tournament report, and you'll see why.

2 or 3 Welders is correct.  I wanted to play 3, which I also talk about in my report.

Hmm. I read your report and see 3 instances where you won wih blightsteel.
2 times against dredge g1, once against oath. Is that correct?
In the two games against dredge, blightsteel was probably optimal. Would another robot have lost there?
I still don't see why it's essential. Once for instance, you couldn't cast blightsteel despite having 11 mana. Would another robot have been better there or no difference?
The problem is, in my meta, everyone is overprepared for blightsteel, whereas myrball/wurmcoil is better against many decks. Not to mention the abity to cast it. But i'm interested to hear your thoughts!

I will be playing four of these.  I'll worry about the deck later.

The other robots would definitely not have won the game in any of those situations.  That's why i think its essential.

I fully get that BSC is the champ , end of story. Myrball was just a thought that kept popping up. As for the welders I think three is the number . Thanks .

I think Brian Demars would play MyrBall in my deck, but I wouldn't switch after my experience.

I realize that I'm necro-ing an old thread, but I'm thinking about playing LabMan Oath ...Memory Jar?? Can that possibly be correct?  How do you use it in a deck with no rituals AND no Tinker?

That is definitely supposed to be Memory's Journey. Decklist: edited. Good catch!
