I just accidentally PM'ed you when I meant to publicly post here.
Having just started playing T1 myself, I wondered where in R.I. one could play outside of tourneys. The answer is other than Kenny's (Disposable Heroes) and YMG Providence, you'll probably have to look outside the state. Norwood, Somerville and Hadley all have thriving t1 scenes for Mass. Apprentice is also a good way to test online with fellow TMD'ers who live outside R.I. I hope that helped.

There's a small store which is only open about two nights a week in Norwood Center, it's disguised as sports card store, it's mostly just drafting and occasionally some regular gaming. TAL lives in Norwood and plays magic there whenever possible, but often times we end up drafting in the Dunkin Donuts on Route 1, the only 24 hour non-pharmacy business within Norwood. There's also gamer's haven in the Lincoln Mall in Lincoln RI which has a reasonably active type I community to my knowledge.

I'm always up for drafting. I drafted with TAL a week or so back in Norwood. I've known him for a while. Anyway how would I get to this place in Norwood?

Gamer's Haven in RI isn't all that great for T1, IMO. There is a problem when an oldish T2 deck can win a T1 tourney there. (It was Odyssey and Onslaught block MBC). The metagame there is random good players and a lot of decks that look like overpowered draft decks.
Although I will admit that they do have a decent supply of T1 and T2 cards for sale.

The "store" in Norwood (Rob Zero) is open a few nights a week and isn't open very late. I think that most of the Magic playing in Norwood is done in my basement.
And Mike, the Dunkin' Donuts is actually in Walpole.

The only Really good place left to play T1 in RI is my local shop, Single elimination T1, every saterday. we get anywhere from 20-30 ppl weekly (depends on what sports season and what high schoolers are there), with anywhere from 20-40% powered or semipowered. there are alot of interesting archetypes being played, from keeper to sui to Sneak-Attack, you never know what these ppl will play. here is the address and such
Baseball Cards of RI 6861 Post rd north kingstown, RI, 02852 401-885-7340 Single elim T1,every saterday, start time 4pm, Entry $5 prize is $4 store credit per head (approx) (bring more ppl, get a better prize) enough ppl show we might get an english legends pack or something else cool for a prize. (they also sometimes do random door prizes-Dice, revised boosters, jap invasion block draft sets, you never know) feel free to Call the store for directions. most of us are there by 3/3:30 to start trading before the tourney. this is EVERY week, so feel free to become regulars.
hope to see Ya'll there

Yeah, I'm personally not a huge fan of gamer's haven either having had some unfortunate experience with the store owner Howie which I won't delve into right now. OK Rich YA GOT ME, the store is just over the Norwood/Walpole border, but unfortunately none of the neighboring towns, such as walpole for instance, offer any sort of gaming store. And yes, Rob Zero is not the optimal place to play magic, but if you feel compelled to play there for some reason it's in norwood center next to a bar/restaurant called Napper Tandy's, again, it's not marked "Rob Zero" but actually some sort of "collectibles and cards" or something to that effect and only open for a few evening hours Friday/Saturday. If I lived in RI I'd personally just stick to YMG Providence.
