Are these prizes guaranteed or based on a set number of players?

Just heard from Scott at Double Midnight. These prizes are guaranteed barring a ridiculously low turnout. Last time they put up an Ancestral and a Timetwister and through some bizarre circumstances got 17 players. They only dropped the Twister and kept the Ancestral for 1st - very generous. I don't believe there are any other major tournaments going on this weekend, so I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there. If you have a Myriad Games or Double Midnight T-Shirt, be sure to wear it!

I hate to do this to you, Tyler, but it looks like I'm going to this tournament. At least Meandeck will be represented.

It is very likely I will be there representin' Team Hadley. I am calling out Jacob Orlove. Not to a magic grudge math, nor a beard-off(I currently have a Goatee), but actually to the most sacred of all contests: A politeness contest. You heard me right... a politeness contest. I find that Jake has to be one of the nicest and kind human beings in the universe. I have actually heard God himself talking about Jacob behind his back. He said, "Oh ME, I just want to trip Jacob, but he would apologize for falling over my foot." As such, I challenge Jacob to a Politeness contest. I will shake more hands, say more kind words, use more manners, and pull out more chairs for people to sit than he could ever imagine doing. So Jake...do you politely accept my contest?

How can I say no? I accept, but on one condition: you have to let me teach you how to play Illuminati: New World Order.

That crazy rogue deck, "The Mountain Wins Again" actually won again going undefeated in swiss, and then moving on to crush the top8 (Control Slaver), top4 (Jacob Orlove w/ workshop something or other), and dragon in the finals.

I was the Dragon player that lost in the finals, and I'm not afraid to tell you, I was completely annihilated...it wasn't even close. Maindeck Lava Dart, Swords to Plowshares and Tormod's Crypt...I never even felt like i was in the match at all. I'll have a big ass tourney report in a few days. Thank You Brett for organizing this tourney and Dan for posting it in this here forum and everyone one else for coming out and nice turnout (34 players I do believe).

The Mountain Wins Again! This is indeed the same deck (within a few cards) as the deck that won the Mox Emerald at Myriad Games on August 13th. As the originator of this deck (developed and tested over the past 2 and a half months with the help of Chad Behre, Oliver Beaumont, Aaron Conole and many others). I'm super psyched to see it win another consecutive 32+ player tournament with a lot of good players! Congrats to Ryan Durney for his solid modifications (most notably Lava Dart in the main) and excellent play skills. If there's enough popular demand, I can post the deck list for this latest version (4.6b) here. Thanks again to everyone for coming to this tournament, especially all the good sports. Congrats to everyone who played and had fun. Also, let's hear some feedback on who won the politeness contest between Jacob & Ray.

Don't forget Tyler, or the matches you had for the T-Shirt contest to assess the metagame. Also, let's hear some feedback on who won the politeness contest between Jacob & Ray.
I heard that while counting the votes, Jacob couldn't bear the weight of winning, knowing that he had the potential to deprive Ray of winning the contest, and so politely conceded. Also, I'm 100% in favor of posting the decklist.

I can't really be included in that list anymore, as I haven't even seen a decklist since the white was added and I rejoined meandeck.
sounds like the tourney was a good time for all and I hope to make it to the next one, (as always)
