#1 - "Death is a hero's first step to immortality." - Boros Drill Master. [NOTE: ATTRIBUTION WILL CHANGE]

#2 - “Knowledge manifested from power, memory vanished from weakness...."

#3 - Out of sight, into mind.

#4 - "Shut eyes memorize; open eyes mesmerize." - Wizard's incantation

#5 - The trick is not to find treasure in the mind, but to keep it with open eyes.

#6 - ...and emerge as possibility.

#7 - A dream is just a reality vanished into memory. A reality is a dream come true.

#8 - A memory is what is left when something happens and doesn't completely unhappen.

#9 - Its absence brings wealth, and sadness;
Its return, both joy and madness.

#10 - Which do you choose; fleeting valor or wisdom soon unremembered?

I had to go with #8. That's a very profound and beautiful statement.

Ugh, "unhappen" is a terrible and ugly word.

Abstractly, no. I like taking part in the democratic process that results in a card that belongs to the community.  That said, not a single option for which I've voted through the entire process has actually emerged victorious, so I am left feeling disenfranchised and bitter at a system the has not heard my voice.

I thought these were all pretty terrible choices.  "Unremembered" and "unhappen" are two of the ugliest words I've ever seen.  I ended up voting for #1 because it was the only one that didn't make me want to stab my eyes out.

I really like #9 which really sounds like the card.

And yes the only thing I liked that was voted for was the art.  The rest was simply.. well the only thing I can say is blech!

I voted #7, which I think is rather poetic and appropriate, but I also feel like everything about this card is wrong except for the art.

I'm not sure when it hit the shitter, but yeah, compared with Fro (<3) and Crucible, this is garbage.

Voted #7. Though I'd like to see the "just" dropped from the text. The sentence is stronger without it.

And as we all know, sometimes the democratic process elects some really shitty ideas.

Anyway, I voted for #3.

I voted #8, because "unhappen" makes me laugh.

#10 would be awesome if it had "forgotten" instead of unremembered.  Remember, discard = forgetfulness, not unlearning.

Also, some of the quote flavor texts are my favorites.

Somewhere around where they announced that it was going to deal with creatures...and not be an artifact, blue, or black.  Or even red.  We'd even take red....
