$1000 REWARD: Hairy T's ROBBED

Something very terrible and concerning happend today in downtown Toronto.
Hairy T's Was robbed by some thugs. They grabbed a bunch of the really nice stuff in the showcase while the store was OPEN! and while they were being video taped by the surveillance cameras.

Hairy T's is a well known store in Toronto that has a huge amount of really nice cards, (tons of moxes and drains and everything else). This robbery was a smash and grab sort of thing and the thieves in their infinite stupidity missed a ton of good stuff including a lotus and multiple moxes in the same showcase they grabbed stuff from.

If you are going to be at GP: Toronto or SCG: Rochester next month please be aware of this stuff floating around, and if you are suspicious please find one of the Canadians in attendance who know Leon from this store (Any Canadian from Ontario will know him and be able to help) The reward is in store credit in Canadian (though our dollar is at $0.92 of your dollar right now so thats still $900 bucks) And if this stuff shows up in Rochester and you help catch these people I'm sure some sort of compensation can be worked out. Also if you see Multiple Ebay or MOTL auctions for this stuff from sellers in Ontario Please Contact either me or Leon at the store right away.

If you have any information at all please contact Hairy T's by phone or by email immediately or PM me. Please spread the word to anyone you know and to all retail locations you visit so that stores can be on the lookout for this stuff it won't be easy to move and with your help we can catch these dirt bags.

I think it is sad for all human beings that amongst us live these villains.   Villains that can not get a grip on their instincts (if greed is an instinct).

Sadly enough I live in Belgium and can't really help out, except maybe that you can remove me from the suspect list (I don't even know where the store is at, and would have def. grabbed some more power).

Sorry to hear that. I do have a question though. If you have these idiots on tape, can't you just go to the police? Or is there no way to identify them with the camera (masks on, blurryness, etc.)?

Not my cards, I'm just friends with the owner of the store (I acctually work at a different store on the other side of the city) I'm just trying to help out.
The Police are being involved (Afaik) but realistically the comunity has a way better chance of catching these bastards when they try to unload this stuff.  The owner hopes to have the video tape online for everyone to view so everyone around here can look and see if anyone knows these guys.

I didn't know they had crime in Canada. But seriously, this sucks big time. Those pictures are very difficult to make out since the quality isn't excellent, they're black and white, and it's an overhead view of the thieve's hats. Anyway, I'll be judging at GP: Toronto and I'm close friends with a dealer who will also be there. So, I'll throw word out to him to look out for that stuff if someone tries to unload it.

Wow. This is a scary thought... and a great idea at the same time. Yeah. There's a whole lot of money in cards at Type 1 events. Imagine taking the players' power as well as stuff being sold by the dealers. That's a lot of cash. Maybe there should be SOME amount of security at these things.

We will probably try to get the organizers to do an announcment at the GP and at SCG, hopefully.

There should be some better pics of the perps soon enough, though it probably won't be them trying to pass the stuff off at the tournaments  but a middle man.

Apperently not from the video, but i don't know too many card stores that do have locked showcases if any. These ones should probably have been locked cause of the value, but most cases aren't, this is a pretty unusual thing to have happend in the first place.

Last time I was there, that's exactly what it was. 

That video is absolutely ridiculous.  I will be closely watching eBay and other events around here.  These people will hopefully be found and dealt with....

EDIT:  Can you describe the condition of any of the cards?  As of now, the only thing I'd be able to spot would be the Ancestral w/ crease... Any information would really help us out, especially if looking on eBay.  I would imagine these guys will wait a week or so for everything to die down and then attempt to dump the stuff.

It's a felony offense due to the amount stolen. It's nice to hear that we take care of our own though and one thief has already been identified by a player in Toronto.

I hope you catch these theives, and punish them to the fullest extent of the law.. (and of course.. what I mean is, above and beyond the law... it's only cruel and unusual if there is enough of a body to ID)

the 1 guy is Andreas Kesselring. i havent heard of him before but i was outside at 401 having a smoke and he came and asked for a smoke and introduced him self to me and said he had to be somewhere at 8:30 so he left and i guess he went to rob the place. i guess i should thank him for telling me his name lol. it got me the reward . i guess if u talk to random ppl it cud pay off sometime
