You still dont have a viable way to beat flash.

I think it was suggested at the start, but no comments made since then; Bind.

Bind is awesome and flat out shuts down flash/rector flash/hulk.  And you draw a card.  There should be four of those in your sideboard, if not some main deck (you can ALWAYS find a target).

Black Vise sucks in this deck.  The 3 damage you MIGHT be able to do first turn is generally all you are going to get out of it.  And then you've got 3 more dead cards in your deck.  Drawing a second black vise on turn 2 or 3 could be deadly.

Granted, yes, the 3 quick, nearly unpreventable damage first turn is very nice, but that's all you get (maybe you will get 1 more damage if lucky).   Furthermore, you are having to pay 1 mana that could be spent putting a creature in to play.  That's 1 more turn having to wait on a creature.  You desperately need to drop creatures as quickly as possible.  Frankly, I dont even know why vise is considered in this deck.

aren't both rector and hulk triggered not activated abilities?  if so they can be stifled but not bound.

I'm sorry for bumping such an old topic but I'm really interested in this deck and would like to continue the discussion.

I know he'd like to keep the deck mono green but perhaps he can replace some forests with Tropical Island or Breeding Pools and add in a few copies of Mana Leak/Stifle/Trickbind somewhere?  Since the Tropical Islands and Breeding Pools are forests you can search for them with Land Grant if you need to.

I was also wondering if Soultether Golem and Seedtime would somehow fit in the deck? A Seedtime could be fun after your opponent plays an EOT Brainstorm or something similar.

Edit: Would Groundbreaker be a decent choice for this deck?

The problem to me is that you need

a. enough offensive creatures to swarm -- say ~20 -- and some alt-cc ways to play them on the first turn (such as Elvish Spirit Guide)
b. Berserk to have any chance of killing fast enough to be competitive which entails 16 pumps at a minimum (including the 4 Berserks)
c.  a minimum maindeck disruption package of:

4 Root Maze
4 Leyline Of The Void
4 Chalice Of The Void

There just isn't room for all of that, even if you are playing "9 Land"

I am actually playing the Green build as a semi-casual deck (semi!!!), but I do want to see U/W/g Fish and B/G/w Rock. Maybe I'll make a thread for them later....
