Transformers (animated movie)

WORD.

As far as cartoon movies go, this one is by far the best. Has there ever been a better soundtrack to any movie?

Others that I never mind running into on a random Saturday and haven't seen mentioned yet:

Princess Bride
Snatch

Ferris Bueller's Day Off <--- see first page
Princess Bride  <--- see first page

I mentioned both Smile

I would also second the above mentioned Baron Munchausen, and other Gilliam Goodness; Time Bandits and Brazil.

I don't understand how you people can watch a movie more than 2-3 times.

It's kinda along the same lines as listening to a song/album more than once.

Evil Dead II never gets old. Nor does The Dark Side of the Moon.

The Fifth Element, which has been mentioned, is among my favourite movies.  Nonetheless, it could get old.  I watch it about once a year and I could stand to watch it twice a year.  More than that and I'd get annoyed.  Groundhog Day is the same way.  Watched in moderation, it will stay fresh forever.  There is, for me, only one movie that I could watch over and over without it getting stale:  The Nightmare Before Christmas.  I could probably view this one once a month (and twice in October and December!) without any dissatisfaction whatsoever.

I think the only movies I've ever watched fully (i.e. didn't just happen upon via cable flipping) more than like 3 times was like:
Battle Royale: Showing it to friend's mainly
Oldboy: Ok this is a cheat, because I've only watched the full movie like 3 times. I've watched the hammer sequence about 30+
Versus... like seven times
I guess Leon? Seen that like five times.
Kung-Fu Hustle like 8 times or so.

So yeah, those 'dont get old' i guess.

That's really about it. I'm with Jacob, I can't stand sitting down and watching entire movies more than three or four times max within a few years.

I watch tons of PARTS of movies, especially ones on cable a lot. I've seen the famous car chase in Bullitt like 40 some odd times just on TV. Watched pieces of Predator, Ailens and Ronin at various points at least like two dozen times. Etc Etc.

No Japanese animation fans here huh?  I've seen Princess Mononoke atleast 50 times and it's still just as good as the first time I saw it.  For those who haven't seen it, you should, it's not about a princess...

Also, I didn't see The Crow or Dark City on anyone else's lists.

Oh, I've seen Mononoke Hime about five times, but most of those happened when I got other people to watch it. I guess I can understand watching a movie a few extra times to get people who haven't seen it to see it, but I can't even imagine watching something 10 times, let alone 50.

Miyazaki is superb, though. I really liked Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro too, and his other movies are fine. Have you seen "On Your Mark"?

The Dark City sighting also resonates true.

Conan, Clockwork, City are all repeatable pleasures for me. I get something more out of them every time I see them.

So many great flicks have been mentioned so I would like to toss one into the ring that I didn't see listed and that is: Super Troopers. I especially like this movie because my co-workers and I do the "meow" thing to customers. Also I would like to add Mall Rats as well both exceptional flicks. I haven't seen either 50 times, but I have seen them quite a few times.

Versus

A Christmas Story

If I have the time, the Lord of the Rings movies are watchable forever.

Ong-Bak: the Thai Warrior. Can't go wrong with hot knee to face action.

Army of Darkness.

The Boondock Saints is a watchable movie a couple of times a year, to refresh my mind how amazing Willem Dafoe is of an actor.

I have to agree with meddling mage here : Donnie darko is great!

I'll add : Brazil (well most of terry guillam's movies could go here, but that's my favorite)
The rocky horror picture show (awesome!)
Run lola, run
The hunger
Play it to the bone
Nuit d'ivresse (don't know the english name, don't even know if there's one)
C'est arrivé près de chez vous (see above)
Jacob's ladder
Attack of the killer tomatoes
Return of the killer tomatoes
... (I could go on for hours)

The great gonzo
