petrified field question

Can I sacrifice a petrified field, put its ability and sacrifice on the stack, then use it's ability to target the sacrificed petrified field in my graveyard, and return it to my hand.

When casting a spell or activating an ability, targets are chosen before costs are paid, so at the time you select a land card in your graveyard to target, the Petrified Field is still on the battlefield (and therefore not a legal target).
