There are a number of good websites out there, but working with Doug was really attractive to me. I also really like the design of the website, although you may see me submit articles to other sites every now and again.
I'm surprised you only mentioned Gush when discussing Tunnel Ignus. If an opponent needs the mana in his turn a fetchland does 4 damage. Ignus also has some synergy with GQ: if you use it after they lay a land then they take 3 when they put the 2nd land in play. Still its a narrow card.
Also, I'm surprised you don't mention the obvious synergy between Forgemaster and Precursor Golem. Btw you don't really need a Metalworker to get 5 mana, so don't limit Forgemaster to Metalworker builds. Precursor seems HUGE in shop mirrors.
This is a really good point. I always chide other people for looking at things in isolation, and with a few exceptions, I didn't really look at too many of the internal synergies between Scars cards. Thanks for pointing out the synergy between Precurser Golem and Forgemaster.
All in all, insightful article. The main question I have is are your articles going to be free from now on, or is this a teaser???
We're still working that out. It looks like my Ultimate Gush Primer (which will probably come out November 1st) will be set up like a downloadable e-book for a very tiny fee through QS. I expect this article to be about 30-40 pages. Think about my 3 part TPS primer, but condensed into a single downloadable article. Then, it will be free to download after 60 or 90 days, or just directly uploaded to the site. However, shorter articles may just be free. We'll see.
