In my first premium article for Starcitygames.com I discuss aspects of Magic theory that are Vintage specific.

I would really appreciate feedback on this article as to what you liked or didn't like about it.

Hope you enjoy it!

Cheers

Damn. I was going to cancel my Premium since Menendian left. Now it looks like I have to keep it. Thanks a lot! lol

Seriously, this was a really good article. I like the numerous in-game examples (as silly as the Goyf/DSC deck example is, it illustrated your point well) and the authoritative yet not pedantic tone.

I really enjoyed this article.  It is something that every vintage player should know, thinks they know, then poorly executes (especially myself).  In your example regarding the Tinker for DSC or Trinisphere, I imagine I am the player that would go for the DSC. As you mentioned, it would take the best possible draws to get back into the fight. The player who just tinkered up DSC feels he has a good enough control on the situation and thought that going for the throat is best. This is a sub-optimal play that many players would make.

Keep up the good articles
