Hi all.

If you are not aware, Bazaar of Moxen is having another tournament this november and they are currently having a poll on what the second major event should be.

Right now, COMMANDER (I know right!) is leading with about 4 votes, which means there might not be any vintage at all, at this BoM!

I am therefore asking you all to help us fellow vintage-players getting BoM to host a vintage tournament.

You can vote on www.facebook.com/BazaarOfMoxen (you don't even have to like anything!)

Regards,
Every single european vintage-player that wants to go to Bazaar of Moxen this November.

ps. I am not sure if this is the right place to put this, but I figured it had to be, as it's "general community discussion" Smile

I voted Modern.  It's the same weekend as Vintage Champs, and with it being on the eastern seaboard it would be nice for Europeans to make the trip.

I voted Modern.  It's the same weekend as Vintage Champs, and with it being on the eastern seaboard it would be nice for Europeans to make the trip.

I appreciate the sentiment (and appreciate you explaining the reasons for the practical reasons for the clash in the other Vintage Champs thread), but I do feel this is just part of the problem in scheduling the two events against each other. I really have no idea how many European Vintage players will head to Philly (I know I would like to and am leaning that way), but even if it has created apathy or indifference to what happens at BOM (or increased say the EDH or Modern vote), then I think that is a very troubling development indeed. Every single BOM has up until now featured Vintage - if this one doesn't I'm worried about the precedent that will create.

Unfortunately the Vintage player base is so small it can ill-afforded to splintered.

Anyway - BOM doesn't announce what they've got planned for another week or two. I suppose there's always an off-chance they have moved dates. But that would certainly piss off all the guys who rushed home from Annecy and booked travel/hotels after the announcement made there. All in all, this is a really frustrating scenario, which turns two events which should be celebratory of Vintage into something of a snapshot of all the format's struggles.

Just my two cents Psyburat - nothing personal to either TO -  rather frustration that it could ever come to this, two tournaments fighting over a total player pool of about 400 to 500 people.

BOM is special because of Vintage and Legacy. Everything else should be left to Wizards imo, since they have a vested interest in providing support for those formats.

I understand your argument, that a lot will likely abandon vintage champs, if they are european.

However, I cannot help but feel that BoM, if they see there won't be any problems with skipping the vintage event for a tournament of theirs, will be more inclined to do so in the future - considering that modern is really picking up pace, and will draw a lot more players than vintage would.

I voted Vintage. Totally agree that BoM should be about Eternal formats.

I voted Vintage as it would just be weird if an event with the word "Moxen" in it had nothing to do with the one format that they are playable in.
