Hello all.  I'm pleased to share the coverage of our 2nd Sanctioned Vintage event at Scholars.  Coverage is provided by The End Step, and we look forward to working with them to continue providing quality coverage of the format we all love.  Coverage can be found here.  We did 3 feature matches, each featuring a BUG Control List, vs Shops, Combo and another control deck.  There is also a Deck Tech for both decks in the finals.  Thank you to the End Step I look forward to hearing feedback.

I'd like to thank Dave at Scholars for making these events possible.  My first Vintage event was at Scholars, well over a decade ago, and Scholars continues to support the format through thick and thin.  It is our hope that quality events like these Sanctioned Tournaments, combined with our weekly infinite proxy events and coverage with the End Step will help grow and improve the community.  Come be a part of this effort.  The next event is July 8th.

Scholars was also pleased to be the first showing of the beautifully crafted WyrmWood Deck boxes.  They generously donated a box to first place:  a $60 value!  I'd like to thank them for the support!

Of course, I'd like to thank all the people who made it out to this event, and I look forward to these tournaments growing as we continue to support Vintage in New England.  Hope to see some new faces on July 8th.

Hey I really liked this! I actually enjoyed the dynamic of having a Vintage expert in the booth alongside someone new to the format, as it not only disabused him of the notion that the format was a one or two turn blowout, but also created a reason to explain some of the notable facets of Vintage. If the point of the videos is showcase the format to new players, I think that helps make them very accessible.

Good work!

Thanks for the feedback.  The reception has been very positive so far.  We'll be doing coverage for the next one on July 8th!

Thank you very much. The BOM guys could learn something from the commentators. Good and insightful talk going on.

I will be playing four of these.  I'll worry about the deck later.

The video coverage is great, really top notch stuff, although it would have been nice to have at least one match that didn't involve BUG fish.  Are the deck lists and/or any other info on the tournament available?

This is amazing and I've been linking it to some friends who I've been trying to get into Vintage in hopes of growing the small Vintage community here in North MA. The commentary was very clean and smooth, and the video did a great job of capturing what was going on. I look forward to seeing more of these, and maybe one day I'll be able to make it out to one of these events.
