Reading that made me appreciate the "head to head" section of Steve's long.dec series even more than I aleady did.

I already voiced my disapproval on the scg forums, and i'll reiterate in a slightly more respectful manner here:

I don't see the point in devoting an article to a matchup that is, for all intents and purposes, worthless. I'm sure there are very few people that care that keeper beats reallyreallyreallybadsuicide. dec. Your head to head articles are already struggling for credibility since you are so biased in the games you actually published, and this was a large step on the wrong direction for you.

You really need to add something of value to your average player here.. Steve's was excellent because his long.dec games analysed WHY the decisions were made. All reading your head to head matchups will teach people is that keeper wins 95% of games, and the entire strategy is to mystical for ancestral, misdirect hymns, balance away enemy creatures and cast a morphling.

Very sub-par I'm afraid.

I vote Smmenen takes over writing the head to head series.

While I appreciate the complement - I think you missed some of the value of Oscar's logs.  While my article was focused intently on key tactical decisions - Oscar is aiming to have a little more fun with it.  If you want to have fun reading a type one log - that's what Oscar's doing and he does it fine.

Remember that Rasko started this series over a year ago with an overarching structure in mind.  This must be a leftover set of logs from near when he started.

Even though the log is old, it isn't really out of date.  The strategy behind the moves can still be very useful, especially for people who have no power cards (and are running decks like Sui). You get the "flavor" of a tournament report with some witty commentary.

Even though he usually uses logs that show Keeper winning, there is a some reason behind it. After all, he is a Keeper player.  Also, with over 100+ articles AND the Control Player's Bible, he'd better be writing about something that is interesting to him.

Oscar's article is still a good read.

It's nice to know Rakso's outdated Keeper can still beat an outdated Suicide Black deck. I'm glad I don't live in Malaysia and have to face this kind of fierce competition.

First off...what kind of deck is this? 4 Carnophage and 4 Sarcomancy? Those haven't been used in forever! And 3 Flesh Reavers alongside 4 Negators? He must be TRYING to kill himself AND destroy all his permanents. No Shades for the good kill? No Masticore for creature assistance, or even Powder Kegs to deal with Moxen? And fetchlands in Suicide? Gah... Atleast Rakso had the normal disruption base right...but it's hard to mess up 4x Duress, 4x Hymn, 4x Sinkhole...although I'm surprised he didn't put Unmask in...

I would hope Rakso's old Keeper deck could deal with this shitty of a Suicide Black build.\n\n
