Round 1:
My opponent got this combo off where he drew a bunch of cards via 3 Horns of Greed, Fastbond, and Glacial Chasm, then discarded them all for Sickening Dreams. Sad

Rounds 2 and 3, I boarded out Mana Crypt, Grim Monolith, the Dragons, Flowstones, and a Triskellion, and boarded in 3 Bloom Moons and 4 Jester's Caps.

Round 2:
I played a first-turn Factory, only hit with it on the second turn. I played and sacced a Jester's Cap 3rd turn, and he conceded before it resolved, although he did respond with Impulse.

Round 3:
I had to mulligan 3 times, and I still didn't have any land, but ended up with 2 moxes, a Su-Chi, and a Metalworker. He went first, and I ended up drawing a Mountain, so I played the Metalworker, then next turn, drew another Su-Chi and used the Metalworker to get enough mana to play it. With 6 mana on the table, I played a Jester's Cap, he let it come into play (surprising me), then he countered the ability when I sacced it. Sad The second Su-Chi was countered when I played it next turn, but I had drawn and played a Black Lotus. Su-Chi and a Metalworker plinked him to death, aided by an early Lightning Bolt. Never did get to use the Lotus, although I did get a Welder into play the turn before he conceded. Sad He ended up vampiric tutoring twice, and regrowthing the tutor, but still couldn't get the cards he needed.

That MaRo had the audacity to taint the good name of the Rakdos by including a justification for HoFLong in their article.

How exactly did he counter the Jester's Cap ability?

Good question. I could have sworn he played an Interdict, but he doesn't seem to have that card in his decklist.

It's too bad you don't have your logfiles.  You could've checked to see if he had played the Interdict.

Are you allowed to modify decklists even after submission?

Mellow D, not that I know of.  I mean I had already submitted my Legend Black decklist to Redman but had to change a card in my sideboard, lucky the tournament hadn't begun yet so Redman said it was ok

As far as changing cards after the tournament begins if Redman finds anyone changing cards he might just disqualify them, at least thats what I would do.

BTW jeek, that script that you made for the decks is sweet ass.  Didn't you say you used perl for most of it though?

Yeah, I wrote a perl script to do it for me. What of it?

Changing your decklist midtournament (especially without telling me) is cheating and grounds for disqualification. You'd have to show me a log though.

I don't have a log, and I won the match anyways, so although there's not much I can do to prove anything, I'm not too worried about it.

Umm...you didn't play Cap the third game, only the second.  You just continually beat me down with the Su-Chi.

They were good games, well except the second one.  That wasn't very fun. Razz

Please, if you write a report, actually know what happened in the game.  Making things up to fill in the blanks isn't cool.  Thanks.\n\n
