There's a T1 tournament in Montreal this coming Sunday at Carta Magica. Lately, we've been getting an attendance of around 50 people. The first place prize is $150CAN and 2nd-4th (or 2nd-8th if there are enough people) get prize money in the form of store credit. The metagame is pretty diverse, with a number of very solid players and decks. Lots of sui, a bit of sligh, lots of random aggro, turboland, neo-academy, dragon, mono-U forbiddian, urphiddian, pox, nether void, keeper, parfait, and some other stuff I've probably forgotten about. Some decks are powered, some are not. Assuming he's broken that damn everquest addiction. You'll also be able to meet the guy who wrote the Pox primer (and explain to him why you side Fire/Ice out against control)! Not to mention K-run, who makes the occasional trip down on the Sundays that he's off work. Hi everybody
I'm sure there are many people from Montreal in the ManaDrain community and i hope everybody will be there this sunday. T1 at carta are well organized and it's also a good time for trades.
I don't know exactly who is who (except the phoenix) but it would be great if some of you want to playtest (at "carta magica" or at "le tog") i go there two or three times a week.
Last note, this saturday there will be a type two tournament (...) at carta welcome to everyboby who want to trade !

The tournament saturday is Sealed deck, not Type 2 (it's a Grand Prix Trial for Philadelphia).

I might wear my manadrain T-shirt, but I've born it to the two last tournaments so I think I might take a brake from it. So, unless you want to look like idiots asking around for "the phoenix", tell me your names!

phoenix : I will probably go to carta saturday too. if you can catch an alpha mindtwist (and a dci vampiric) set them aside for me please  i wanted to play german tubbies this tournament but after playtest it seems to be weak... |

play mono blue so I can wreck along with the aggro field that is present there. what is stacker 2? teletubies with red and covetous dragons would be strong the with blue but I never seen either played yet just decklist. Rec-Sur and nether void seem strong but I saw a lot of white last time with the aura of silence and seals

Hi all. My ride to/from TO just got fucked, so I was wondering if there are any gracious TO commuters that have room for 2. I'm willing pitch in some gas money, and I have a place to stay down there, so all I'm concerned about is the ride there and back. PM or IM if you can help out.
