4 rounds of Swiss, with a cut to Top 4 for a single elim.

I was running the current build of Sweater...

// Mana
4 Taiga
4 Karplusan Forest
4 Treetop Village
10 Mountain
2 Wooded Foothills

// Creatures
3 Blistering Firecat

// Maximizing the Firecat's Potential
2 Fling
2 Seize the Day

// I'd like to have a chance against Monowhite
1 Flaring Pain

// The important bit
4 Oath of Druids
3 Gaea's Blessing

// When 4 of a card isn't enough
3 Gamble

// Burn
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Incinerate
4 Shock
2 Kaervek's Torch

// Panic Buttons
1 Wheel of Fortune
4 Naturalize
// (Normally, I run 3, but I saw a guy putting Parfait together before the tournament, plus another guy with Nether Voids)
1 Steely Resolve

// Sideboard
SB: 3 Compost
SB: 4 Red Elemental Blast
SB: 3 Pyroblast
SB: 1 Null Rod
SB: 1 Scalpelexis
SB: 1 Tormod's Crypt
SB: 1 Gorilla Shaman
SB: 1 Anarchy

There were only 10 entrants.. and I think I remember all of the deck types..
SuiBlack: GuyA, Rich
BW Control (Described as Void without the Voids): JD
Sweater: TJ (that's me)
Type II Goblin Deck: Alex
4-Color Control with only basic land: Random Female
Full-Power Keeper: JR
Goblins: GuyB
Parfait: Steve
Quick Rebels: GuyC

Round #1: Against GuyA playing SuiBlack.
Game 1: I go first, laying a Mountain. He plays a first-turn Swamp, Ritual, Ritual, Hymn to Tourach and Hypnotic Spectre, costing me my in-hand Oath and a Naturalize, but then I draw Oath on my second turn anyways. A flung third-turn Firecat takes him from 20 to 6, and I finished him off with an Oathed Firecat that I flung in response to an attempted Edict.
Game 2: I burn him down to 16 with two Shocks, and wipe out his creatures as he plays them with various burn spells...but have trouble getting an Oath into play. I finally pull it off with no creatures in play. He gets a Hypnotic Spectre into play a couple of turns later, and hits me with it a couple of times while I forget to use my Oath. I finally remembered, Oathed out a Firecat, swung (he didn't block) and flung, but still ended up getting hit for 2 and dying, with him at two life.
Game 3: I keep a 3-land hand, play one, and lose the other two to a first turn Hymn. He strip mined me on his second turn, and I didn't see another land for the rest of the game.
Match: 1-2 Tournament: 0-1

Round #2: Alex playing Type II Goblins.
It was a slaughter. The entire match was over in under 4 minutes, including shuffling.
Match: 2-0 Tournament: 1-1

Round #3: Rich playing SuiBlack.
This is the guy I saw with Nether Void before the Tournament. Apparently, he took it out of his deck before the tournament actually started, though.
Game 1: I go first again. I pull off a second turn Oath, and a 3rd-turn flung Firecat. Unfortunately for him, he had managed a second-turn Yawgmoth's Bargain. I eventually shocked him for the kill.
Game 2: He goes first, and it's pretty much a repeat of the first game, except that I get 2 Composts into play as well.
Match: 2-0 Tournament: 2-1

The judge posted a list of the current rankings, I was in 4th. One guy had 9 points, 6 people had 6 points.

Round #4: JD (the guy with 9 points) playing BW Control (Voidless Void?)
Game 1: I keep a 3-land hand. He goes first, and I lose 2 of the lands to Tourach. I play a land, and he Vindicates it on his second turn, along with a Duress. I draw no more land (or burn, for that matter) for the rest of the game, and a combination Hypnotic Spectre and Mishra's Factory finish me off.
Game 2: I keep a 3-land hand again, and play one first-turn. He Sinkholes it and Duresses me, taking away my in-hand Oath. I drew and played another land, which he vindicated on his turn. Pretty much for the whole match I never got more than one land into play.
Match: 0-2 Tournament: 2-2

I ended up in 5th, by a fraction of about .05% in the last column. Went home because it was my anniversary, and my gf was probably wondering where the hell I was. Wink T4 was Goblins, Parfait, Rich's SuiBlack, and BW Control. BW Control was #1, I'm not sure of the rest.

I hear the Goblins deck and the BW Control deck intentionally drew and split the prize, $50 of store credit.

Here's what I think were the final rankings
#1. BW Control and Goblins
#3. SuiBlack and Parfait
#5. Sweater
#6. 4-Color Control
#7. Keeper
#8. Rebels and SuiBlack
#10. Type II Goblins

That MaRo had the audacity to taint the good name of the Rakdos by including a justification for HoFLong in their article.

You should rename it 21 Gun Salute.
At least they went down in a blaze of glory.  Maybe run that card too.

They seem to be happening once a month, but I've been talking to the judge, and he's been considering a regular Friday Night T1 or Saturday Afternoon T1. I'm hoping he does. I'll pass on any updates I get from him.
