Tournaments in Philly/Jersey?

There's gotta be someone out there that know of decent T1 action near Philadephia. New Jersey is close enough as well. After moving here from Chicago, It's like I've been cut off from magic. I just need someplace to play...

there's several posts fore tournaments at gamemaster which is in nj. those are the only good ones that i know of.

In Allentown PA there is a card store call the Encounter.  The hold T1 tournaments once a month.  Also 45 minutes north of there is Stroudsburg with a second branch of the Encounter and they also have month T1 tournaments.  They both are free tournaments but the winner takes home some store credit based on how many people have entered.

I wouldn't make a 2 hour trip to get there for just store credit if I didn't know anyone, but if Allentown isn't too far it is an option.

Like Lord of the Goats said there is a store called Gamemasters that has frequent T1 tournaments.  I don't know how often since I am not directly in the area, but like every month or so they have a Mox tournament.  I can't recall where Gamemasters is located though.  I think it is off 80.  Don't quote me on that though.

On March 8th there will be a big tournament at Altered States in Syracuse NY.  That is a little bit of a hike, but it should have some good competition.  It will be a good measuring stick.

I try to hit the encounter (stroud/allentown) every now and then so hopefully I will see you there sometime.

I'm in Princeton, NJ, and the Gamemaster place is an hour north of here. They hold tourneys usually once a month, and once my exams are over I'll be there again

Hmm...Game Masters is about 2 hrs from me. I guess I could hit that place up...but it's a bit far

Mith, Game Master is in Fairlawn NJ. We are exit 160 of the Garden State Parkway or you can take Route 287 or Route 80 to get to us. We are doing a Type I tournament with 2 moxes up on Sunday February 9th at 12:00pm. If you are right outside Philly it should take you about 1 1/2 hours to get to us
