AT the local pre-release I met a guy who handed me a flier about a Black Lotus tournament with pre-registration information and how to get there and so forth.
If you have any information about this tournament, please le me know and or post in this thread.

I am also very interested in going to this tournament since this is the first time I have heard of any sort of T1 event since I got here.
Smmenen, please let me know if you here of any other Kentucky T1 event or southern Ohio. I have more time to devote this semester.

I am a Buckeye right now - and let me tell you - Athens was much better than Columbus.

Today I talked to the coordinator and here some further details.
Registration begins at 10am.
Entrance fee is $20
Prizes are as follows:
1st Place - Black Lotus 2nd Place - Mox 3rd Place - Guantlet of Might
That is all I know right now. This is a pretty good prize package. If anyone is thinking of coming down, let me know.
Now I have to think of what I going to play. This is a totally unknown metagame for me. Any suggestions?

I am - do you have a place to stay
How did you get ahold of the cooridinator? The only number they gave was for the Holiday Inn. I found out Fred Combs number though.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. Unfortunately, this weekend my spare bedroom is being occupied by my wife's friends from Chicago, which actually is good since she won't be bothering me all weekend. Under normal circumstances, I would have friends that you could crash with, but I am new to the area. That said I hope you come down, I would love to see someone from the board down here. If you come tomorrow, let me know, maybe we can get together and playtest.
That said, I also got the coordinator (Fred Combs) number from the hotel. I talked to him yesterday and he gave me the details.
