Proxy tourns draw a bigger crowd in T1. It's their first one in a while due to lower turnout due to sanctioning.

Use 'Your Control Panel' up at the top, you can change it in there.

If you guys do the next one for power, and give a little more notice (I generally need ~10 days in advance so I can get work off,) I'm sure that we can bring about five or more from Hadley to show you guys what's up.

Especially you, LEGEND!

bah, they should really do these things over the summer. Most people who have jobs have to work for most of the summer anyway (the man doesn't give people long vacations) so its not that much harder for them to be there, but for all the poor college students out there who can't afford cars its hard to get to things like this in the middle of the year while its much les hard to get home for the summer.

Of course, there are those of us who won't even be on this side of the country over the summer.

Not that I can make it down to NYC this time, but I definitely can't attend any tournaments on the east coast that happen during like May-August.

Dude! It's easy! All you have to do is take a train to NYC. You'll roll into Penn station or grand central. What's hard is the NY'ers getting to all these backwater tournaments that no trains get to without a car to pick them up and then drive to the tournament site. Getting to NYC and the to NG is easy. Assuming you can afford the time and money for train fare from wherever you are.

I just posted the tourn as soon as I heard about it. NG doesnt give much respect to anything besides draft and qualifiers/regionals. I think another reason i didnt get much notice is it was scheduled the 1st week of Apr. and nobody knows shite about anything until the events calendars are up at the end of the month, leaving 1 week's notice.

As far as power goes, if this tourn has a good turnout they're more likely to do a pow tourn next. Or who knows? Maybe they'll continue to give away their piles of juzams. But hey, just sell it on ebay and make $100.00 or so.

Eric, that is the ugliest avatar ever! This is Max Joseph by the way, and I'll see you on Fri/Sat the tournament is going to be great.

Why Max, I had no idea you were such a prude!

I have just the thing for such antiquated, right-wing commentary.

Sounds like you need a heapin' helpin' of such great motion picture masterpieces as "Max Hardcore's Co-ed Assmasterin' 101" and the popular sequel, "Max Hardcore's Co-ed Assmasterin' 201".

Seek out those puppies on pay-per-view, young padawan. And before ya know it, you'll be givin' props to the dark side and soon you will call me master.

for the people who complain about it being in April and not the summer. This is your chance to get them in the summer. This is a test run to see if this sort of tourney will produce numbers at NG.

I know that some of you really can't make it because of the sort notice or the expense of coming back home in the middle of a college semester. Sorry that things didn't work out well for you.

For anyone who can make it, this is yoiur chance to get more of these later in the uear and also to get the prizes even bigger. But the store has to see the event produce.

Last year NG hosted several T1 for prizes ranging from $100 cash to $250 cash. The reson they stopped is because support dwindled. As I have said sevral times already, you have to show support to get it back.

The fact that this tournament is not sanctioned really sucks, but I might still attend just for the hell of it. The managers of Neutral Ground are sorely mistaken if they think that allowing proxies is a requirement for getting large turnouts. The only required elements for getting a large turnout are solid promotion and big prizes. That's it. Those are the only two conditions required for getting large turnouts. Proxies suck, and so does unsanctioned. But whatever, I'll still consider showing up since it'll be good fun, albeit not as good as it could have been.
