Hey Everyone,

Seems there hasnt been anything out of montreal for a couple months. Sickboy's data from the febuary tourney never came and NOTHING was said about the march event.

The April tournament is on the 6th, Entry is 10$ CDN
Prize is 150$ CDN Cash to 1st, the rest is distributed to the top 8 in credit.

Attendance is usualy good with 50-60 players. The field is diverse with a large percentage of decks being fully or partially powered. This event will be a good chance to scout the field for next month, which rumours say will be for a Lotus.

Hope to see many people there, from Montreal and Out of Town!

Rock on !  I'll be there. I haven't had the chance to go to montreal for a T1 tournament, university grabbing much of my time.  But this month i got time.  

I would like to know what are the most popular decks ? If it is for a lotus then i think i'll have to put my ebony rhino foil near to be my lucky charm !

*by the way, a weekend to montreal usually ends up in barfing betwwen rounds !!! i'll control myself this time ( thinking lotus !!)

The metagame is very mixed
In the last 2 months there as not been a lot of TnT decks tho

Damn, it is too bad the price isn't a lotus... i would have greatly appreciate to win it... but who doean't you'll say ... duh.. no one i assume.

March went by so quickly, it's now time for april type I at carta ! I hope all the regular players will be there even if it's not for the lotus

ps: mordraid & Ethmaster, you seem to be regular at carta, who are you IRL (come from montreal or quebec city) ? I'm the guy with big top loaders deck-protectors. If some of you want to playtest saturday at carta just let me know (even you cancerman ! we did not playtest yet !)
Anyone has a guess for the metagame this month ? It would be good if more players could show up with Mask, TnT and monobrown, just to avoid the tog-like domination...

Hello tom... i'm not a regulkar at carta... i haven't played there since regionals last year !!!

I usually play type1 in quebec, since i study here.  I mostly play against K-run, guardian, mig-hells and some other kids not worth mention .

For the playtest thing... i wont be able to playtest at carta saturday since i'll be at my friends house in st-basile. I would love to playtest against you but, Eric Lucas is boxing... so i guess i'll have to playtest in front of the TV set !!

Thanx for the hint on how to recognize you... the way to recognize me... humm.. harder.

Hi Phoenix,
Will you play the deck i think or did you find some Bazaar of Bagdad to draw again and again ? i think i could lend mine since i think i won't play "le Flibustier" (i keep it for the lotus héhé).
for those who care, tomorow (friday), there is a friendly tournament at LE LUNATIK, 3290 rosemont in montreal where about 40 persons will show up, the level is not very high but it's really fun (don't expect big prize, it's only 20-30$ for the winner, but entrance is only 2$  )

I quit when the top8 was announced.  

I was playing Alkatraz. having a record of 4-1-2. loosing to gobbo sligh . Damn those goblin vandals.  WInning Vs void, pox, kinda mirror and landstill. My ties were Vs enchantress and white weenie.  

Those two ties should have been avoided. The WW guy was simply playing too slow .  I'm too gentlemen to call the judge but next time i wont let him do that again.  With wire and smokestack on board, how the hell a turn with a white weenie deck suppose to take 2 minutes/ turn ??  

vs enchantress ... i just misread a card...mea culpa, mea culpa, meamaxima culpa.  Karmic justice triggers only when permanents are targetted. Smokestack target the player !!  This would have give me the game for sure.

It was still pretty cool. We were about 68 players.  

I'll certaintly be there next month for the lotus.

Hi guys, sorry but i really had another appointment elsewhere and i couldn't finish the tourney. I went 2-1 with my TNT, losing only to High tide, but just barely!

Does anybody have a list of all the decks present at the tourney?
